Teams are obviously reaching out to Phil Jackson for their coaching vacancies. He has said he isn't against the idea of returning and hes already declined New York and Orlando. He declined Orlando because they are too far away from his Montana home. Portland is close to home for him. Anyone think he'd like to go to the Blazers and help rebuild them back into contenders? He would be by far my first choice.

I think we all wish we were a little closer to Tony Montana.

Haha maybe he does. But if not Portland where would he go? There is not too many teams that are close to his Montana home. I could see him going back to the Lakers, especially if they land Howard. I don't see him going to Sacramento or Golden State. Possibly the Clippers?

Miami once they fire Spo. OKC? would be just like him to go from Michael to Kobe to Durant.

Phil would spit on his own mother if he felt it would give his team an advantage. That's all the cracks about Portland (or Sacramento) were about.

if Phil was younger, could you imagine just how incredible it would be if he did go to OKC?

Dude could get close to 20 rings in his resume.

Phil is waiting to see what the Lakers do. If they can put together a contending roster by the end of the summer lets say like an additon of Roy and Howard. I think he will be back with them. I believe there was some substance to what Magic said during the playoffs. Mike Brown won't be back next year.

I could also see him going to Miami however it's a further far fetched due to the competitive nature between he and Riles and I just think if someone else other than Spoelstra is going to coach that team it will be Riley.

Too many "cowbells" in OKC for Phil's taste.

I don't think he'd go to Miami because of Pat Riley (as someone else mentioned) and because he said Orlando was too far away for him, so I don't see him going there. OKC is really high on Scotty Brooks, I don't see him being fired or taking another job anytime soon. But if there was an opening in OKC in the next year or two I could definitely see Jackson going there.

If we traded both draft picks and Wes for an all-star level player and then convinced Deron to come to town we'd be up there with a couple teams in the west as legit contenders next season. We'd have three all-stars plus Batum. I could see Phil being interested in the Portland job then. Obviously this is extremely unlikely, maybe there is a 5% chance of that happening. But that is why I agree with management to wait on hiring a coach.

Most likely we aren't able to improve the roster that much this offseason; in which case Phil wouldn't have any interest in the job.

    That was me.

His 'heart' meaning Jeannie is in LA. If they can get the roster to his standards and get rid of that 'wimp' Gasol. He will be back there. Always thought so

It would be really hard for the Lakers to sign Brandon. They aren't under the cap and as an amnestied player, I believe he goes into a lottery where teams under the cap have the chance to get him.

but hey, let's just keep saying he's going to LA because it makes for good bandwidth.

He already went through waivers so he is an unrestricted free agent. He can sign for the min where ever he wants.

Oh, well in that case still bfd. The guy is done. If he can't come to grips with that, let some team think he'll be able to withstand the constant pounding of an NBA season.

Roy should go to phx. If that training staff could fix Hill they got a shot at fixing him too then.

Phil isn't going anywhere unless they have a superstar, or two.
