another Duck offer goes out to a kid from the SE. Florida Safety & rivals top 100 member Leon McQuay III looks like quite the prospect STOMP
Having a defensive secondary stocked with Florida players is a good thing. This is a state known for speed and athletes, further most Florida high schools play two terms of football a year which makes these kids battle tested and ready to go when they hit the college level.
Boyd was supposed to be one of ours? Well he's having SOME success over in Clemson. I mean, they were ranked #5 and if they hadn't choked they would have gotten quite far. And last year was the one good year, and this year is supposed to be even better word of mouth. But hey, congrats to him. The only way we would face Nkemdiche is if the Ducks land in the Orange Bowl
Well not "supposed" to be Oregons. Just when it came down to his decision day most everyone expected him to be Oregon. Part of it too was gonna be cause his ACL was torn the football season before and with Oregon's top notch facilities, he would have been in good shape. Def wish him well, and I'm quite happy with what we got from Thomas instead
looking forward to seeing this guy suit up. Issac Dixon is another who will be cutting his teeth this season probably mostly on special teams, and Eric Dungy will be in the mix at WR STOMP
Modesto California Tight End Johnny Mundt commited today. Looks like he's not ranked, not even listed as having an offer.. wonder what made the coaches catch their eye. Sounds like another under the radar player like TJ Daniel from last year's class. http://247sports.com/Player/Johnny-Mundt-21604
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-John-Mundt-140019 Rivals has him as a 3 star and with an offer I'll pretty much root for anyone who rocks Jimi in their youtube highlights STOMP
SO Eddie Vanderdoes is interested in playing baseball as well, and is visiting USC next month for football AND baseball.
Is it true that Shaq Thompson signed with the Red Sox? If so how is he eligible to play football after signing with a pro team even if the sport isn't the same? Isn't there a conflict?
it is true he did, and no it doesnt make him ineligible. Many players have done this, I dont have the exact rule or anything but I know that Dennis Dixon did between his junior and Senior year, and I remember Bellotti being none to happy about it.
Shaq may come back after playing a year or 2 in the minor leagues, otherwise, he's gone for now. Man, being a huskies fan is suffering
here are the rules on playing Minor League Baseball AND College Football. I'll leave it in the recruiting thread since it seems to be a question regarding Eddie V and his future Seattle Times Article
Oh. I thought that if you commit to Minor League baseball, you can't do other sports/college. My mistake I guess. So...any recruits, other than Brian Quick, that have a great chance for coming to Eugene?
James Quick is the WR they're after... my guess is he goes to tOSU though. There are lots of kids visiting UO this summer but not all of those visits will be publicized. I know that Illinois Safety Jalen Banks is supposed to be in Eugene right now STOMP
