Why is Joe Johnson so underrated? I mean sure, he plays for Atlanta, but I don't care. He is a 20 points scorer that can shoot 3's, shoot mid-range, take it to the cup, or finish with an athletic play. He is a solid rebounder for a wing. He is a good playmaker. He can play 3-4 positions. He's a good defender. He's humble, and he's a hard worker.I mean there really isn't any real flaws in his game. He has a complete game and can play multiple positions, and both ends of the floor. To me, he is an All-Star player in this league. The best thing about him is that he can excel as a star but also as a role player. What do you think? Do I just like JJ too much, or am I on to something?

    1. Plays in Atlanta will no serious fan base and it's a loser franchise. 2. He isn't flashy or a big dunker.

I agree. He deserves more recognition. I don't really like his attitude, but he is a hell of a player. He can shoot, pass, rebound, play defense, he has a great handle, good vision. He really does have the total package. Which makes me even more mad that we let him get away.

It's because he is an ***hole. [IMG] There was a time(2 years ago) were I would debate that he was better than Michael Redd but NO MORE. No, he's a good player. If he could raise that 3-pt. % back to 40+% then that would be good. I always though he would be all-star worthy. I just don't want him to ever play postseason basketball ever again.

But people forget about him because Josh Smith won the Dunk Contest and is on NBA TVs Top Ten almost everyday.

He is underated..He can play just about any position..He can shoot the ball, distribute the ball, he'sa great all-around player. But he is also very young, he has potential to be a All-Star for many years..I don't think theres a problem with his attitude, I think he's a very quiet guy, and he's not a very loud guy on the court either, he's humble and he plays a great game

Yeah he is a good player. He can play both guard spots. He is a decent passer, good shooter, good scorer. He is just a very good all aroung guard.

And I hope that he can become and all-star because he's good enough and that was his wish. He left a title contending team for a crappy one though to become the star so that's why I hope I don't ever see him in the playoffs or past the first round again.Another thing that annoyed me about him was his confidence. He'd lose his confidence in games sometimes when he screwed up and just made it worse. He also got all paranoid when they signed Q thinking that the team didn't want him anymore or something. And during the playoffs when he was ready to come back(doctor's cleared him to play) and we really needed him he waited a few more games to come back. Probably because they had to resize the mask or something. Shawn Marion plays more hurt than anyone, Raja Bell played with an injured calf which I read takes about 6 weeks to heal and he came back after 1 when we needed him. Heck, Desagna Diop didn't even wear his mask...<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Jul 27 2006, 10:24 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah, when players go for the fame they go to Atlanta...the Suns offered pretty much the same deal.</div>The offered him less and first and he took it as a sign that they didn't want him. Then they offered him the same money and he said no. But he did go to be #1, not for his family. Everyone following that situation knows why he left.

His contract begs to differ with this topic's question. Going by contract, he's overrated.

He has a great all-around game but i dont see him becoming an all-star because he is in Atl and they pretty much dont have a franchise or franchise player

2 reasons:-In his 2 years where he was better than just good and solid he was with Steve Nash one year where the team averaged 110PPG, and the next year he was with Atlanta where he was #1 option.-Contract.
