David West, just look at the numbers he put up this season comapred to Wilcox. Wilcox is a lot more athletic, but there's no doubt West has the edge, especially offensively.
its a little unfair to say West is better based on the whole season stats - wilcox landed in seattle late in the season where he went to was in a new team learning the system (granted he did seem to flourish) but the numbers are very similarwilcox 14.1 / 8.2 west 17.1 /7.4 now in west' case he was one of the main options and was getting 4 more mins per gamei'll take wilcox.
Since Wilcox was traded to SEA where he fit in way better than he did in LAC, I would say these guys are even since they both do their PF job (scoring and rebounding at decent #'s). But when Wilcox used to play limited min. with LAC, DWest had a brighter future, but now I think these guys might just be future all stars.
This is a close run however I would have to give it to Wilcox, he averaged starter numbers this year when joining a completely new team and having to adapt to the playing strategies and such. West, another great player himself gets more playing time and even with Wilcox landing in Seattle still hasn't managed to do that much better than him. Sham, I think that Wilcox will be an all-star and David West will get close.
gimme David West. Chris Wilcox towards the end of the season did great. I will give him that. He was put in to a situation where he was the only good big man down low. How could he not do good is what im saying? The other big men on the team were young rookies or sophmores that came out of high school that are undeveloped and dont know the game. So, he gets more touches and gets more rebounds. Im sure that if you looked it up, while Chris Wilcox played for Seattle, him and David West played about the same minutes. And David West still put up better numbers, AND his team had a better record. Also, look at the improvement that West made in one season. Think what he might do this year.
David West, but not by a large margin. He's got a slightly better offensive game and his rebounding seems almost on par.

Also he has a better FG %.Also it is unfair to say that west was on a winnig team. After Wilcox turned up the sonics went 15 - 12 (not too bad considering the roster ajustments) I still stand by Wilcox.
By far David West. This was his first year to actually get some decent minutes in. Also hes really consistent, scored double digit points for about the last 50 or 60 games
Give me David West, 17 points, 7 rebounds, 51% shooting in his 3rd year in the league. He is younger and has much more upside than Wilcox.
