Ralph at realgm said his source said it is a 3 team trade being discussed

Sorry guys, I've been trying to get the details and it's still kind of shaky right now but here's what I got

Bulls get- Wright, Harris, #7 and 2nd rd pick or picks not fully sure on the 2nd rd stuff yet

Jazz get- Bieds, 29, 30, Bulls 2013 1st and another Bulls player (in the past I know Utah like Watson)

    Warriors- Deng

Other things could be involved but this is what I got so far

    http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1189369&start=345

Edit: Ralph said we are getting either one or two second round picks from GS #35 and or #52. So the #29 pick is for #35 and 52 so to speak.

Wright makes $4.1M. His per 36 numbers (he played 27 MPG):

    13.7 PPG, .422 FG, .360 3pt (on 6 attempts!), 6.1 RPG, 2.1 APG, 1.3 SPG

    Deng's
    14.0 PPG, .412 FG, .367 3pt (on 3.6 attempts), 5.9 RPG, 2.7 APG, 0.9 SPG

Biedrens was once an up and comer at C for the Warriors. He earned a big payday, a contract that pays him $9M next season with a team option for $9M the following season.

Both deals are expiring. This saves the Bulls $13M after next season.

    6-1 odds be damned.

Biedrins has a player option for 13-14 that he's going to pick up.

So for next season, they'd actually be increasing their team's salary. Interesting.

Yeah, I misread Sham's salaries page. Green font is "player option" and "mauve" font is ETO. And I gather from the CBA FAQ that ETO means player option of a slightly different form.

So the Bulls would have paid Deng $27M, if this deal goes through, they'd pay $18M for Biedrens, $4M for Wright, saving $5M. They're going to put some of that $5M toward the draft pick (say $3M), so they save $2M.

I was referring to the Deng for Harris+Wright+ pick swap (#29 for #7). For next season, Deng's set to make $13.6mil. Harris is at $8.5mil, Wright at $4.1mil and the #7 pick will cost about $1.8mil more than #29. The net for next year is +$0.8mil for the Bulls. However, since both Harris and Wright will be expirings next season, potential savings in 2013-14 are major.

The Bulls have privately assured Luol Deng that there's "no chance" of a deal sending him to the Warriors, league source tells Y!

This proposed deal doesn't bother me.

Biedrins, Devin Harris, and the option value of getting someone with a high ceiling isn't a bad deal for Deng and some late 1st round picks.

In fact, I'd be surprised if he could actually fetch that much as the centerpiece of a trade.

Again, I'd assume this type of deal is contingent on someone being there at 7 that the Bulls really like. Can't speak to the specifics of that.

The fact that there's a financial aspect to the trade doesn't make it a "dump" or something similar.

I won't cry if this goes down.

I'm coming around. It seems that the Bulls could have the option of drafting Barnes, Beal (unlikely) or Rivers (more likely). I don't think that's a horrible deal. Rivers could be a special player -- he certainly has an elite set of isolation skills. I'm becoming more agnostic to this type of deal as time progresses.

Chase Budinger traded to Minny for #18. Looking at his stats, his per 36 are on par with Deng. Just pointing out that management may be thinking that it's easier to replace Deng for less money, and potentially fill another hole (like SG).

There is some truth in terms of management in your post Denny. I feel the same way.

Hmm...interesting. How many years left does Harris have on his contract? Is it expiring? And I remember trading for Harris on 2k12, then again, I was actually able to trade Boozer too...man i wish video games were like real life lol
