Absolutely. I mean I have no idea how they build those pretty buildings in Las Vegas, but it certainly has nothing to do with this thinking :D

Except they're not building the casinos with the winnings from those pulls. Unless you're calling 14,16 and 18 a suckers bet.

    Just playing.

Speaking of which, there is a chance the old, evil MM will be back soon. I have lost my voice (self diagnosed as Dysphonia) if it is that and not acid reflux I will potentially have to go off the meds. Just a warning the sweet lovable gent you are all enjoying might go away :(

For our team as it currently stands, quality > quantity.

Don't trade the high pick just for multiple lower picks.

I would have liked to see POR get the #18 pick, nor would I have minded POR acquiring Budinger.

Budinger would be an upgrade over Luke "I have no confidence" Babbitt....

Does post Nate, Luke have confidence? His 3 point % sure went way up post, Nate

Regardless, Air Bud is an upgrade, I am just asking

Until he got close to qualifying for the NBA 3pt%...then he clenched up and couldn't hit the ocean....Decent garbage player, but when shots matter he dissapears....

Could be true. He knew deep down his playing time wasn't when the team mattered. Basically out if and showing what he could do.

Man, all of this pre-draft scheming and evaluating is giving me a headache.

How long until the post-draft whining and complaining starts?

Luckily you will have a solid 2 hours where it will level out

B.S. There'll be scheming until our pick, and gnashing of teeth afterwards. There's probably 10 seconds while Stern says "With the 6th pick of the 2012 NBA Draft, the Portland Trail Blazers select ..." that it'll be level.

10 seconds is enough for two or three shots, or some solid beer shooting. You will be fine

Vegas is built on the backs of losers, but just like the the NBA, there are a few winners

What in the world is Minnesota thinking? The 18th pick for Chase Budinger?? They already have an abundance of mediocre swing players with Martell Webster and Wesley Johnson. The 18th pick for a 20mpg "shooter" who shoots 36% from 3?

Kahn is fucking amazing, isn't he? Why not take a chance on Fab Melo or Festus Ezeli for interior defense to go alongside Kevin Love?

Budinger is better than either Webster or Johnson....but I agree, I think the 18th pick has more value than Budinger...

Budinger is what you hope someday your 18th pick turns into, but very rarely does. Another solid move by Kahn.

PJIII might even be there, Terrance Jones, Sullinger. Budinger isn't a guy you'd give the MLE to so he should always be worth less than a first round pick.

I would agree with that assesment for most drafts, but I think this draft does have more talent than most drafts do...particularly in the middle of the 1st round....
