I like Lillard. I like Waiters. I like Lillard more. I'm unlike a lot of fans here - I can see both sides of the argument. That being said.... If the give Born and Olshey the weight in this pick, I'll trust the result.
The question I have is... If Waiters is available at 11, do you take him over Henson/Zeller? Most all of the mocks having us drafting a small and a big with 6/11, but shouldn't we be drafting BPA?
Did he make sure to cover his bases and say he was on the bandwagon of all the players in that draft too?
I think Locke is more doing homework. He's posted some positive things about Lillard, too. It's the approach anyone scouting a player for the draft does. You throw out everything and review it all. The great, the good, the bad, and the ugly. You poke holes at everything, and try to figure out what you're really getting in a player. So I don't think Locke isn't a fan. I just think he was throwing out some of the arguments against Lillard. Which I can respect. We don't need to look at the prospects through Barrett's rose-colored goggles (no disrespect - I understand he has to be a company man) - if we do that, we're going to be greatly disappointed in our selection.
Well, Lillard did say he wants to become a better defensive player and "lock people up" like they do in Oakland.
Little backstory. Fez went around that entire draft expressing his lovs for waiters and how he had to be our pick. So when fez read that tweet i was insinuating he jizzed in his pants.
