    Supposedly there are a lot of MMA people in this film. It marks the first time that the UFC has allowed it's IP to be used. I don't want to shit on this movie too much because James is a genuine fan and has been supporting the sport for many years but good gravy his movies are awful. One can only hope he depicts MMA as a sport for high level athletes and not a weekend donnybrook for thugs and drunks.

    They recreated Boston's iconic Sityodong gym for the film and brought in Mark DellaGrotte and co. to train James, both in the film and IRL.

    Fighters making appearances include Rutten, Miller, and Soszynski. The UFC crew (Rogan, Goldberg, and Celeste) are also in it but whether they appear on a television or are actually in the movie is yet to be seen.

    So far no word on whether the Baldfather makes a cameo but at the moment it looks like he doesn't.

    Apparently James has been traneing UFC for a while but either can't keep the weight down or holds onto it for the sake of his career.
