I don't see this going down. Milwaukee just adds more big men without adding depth on the wings, and Portland already has Pryzbilla and Aldridge.
So Milwaukee is adding another young point guard, which they just traded away, and more big men? I don't like the deal either. But it could make LaMarcus a full-time power forward.

I don't like it for the Blazers, it makes very little sense. If they're making a trade, it better be to get rid of Darius Miles. If DMiles was involved, I'd take it.
I could see it happening. Magloire is clearly not wanted in Milwaukee now, and I could see them moving him for garbage. Plus, Steve Blake emerged as a decent pg last season, and they need a backup for Mo Williams now.Portland would be pretty lucky if they got Magloire. They need a good center. Magloire is not a top-notch Center but he can get rebounds, blocks, and he can score downlow.

I personally have no idea what the Blazers are thinking on this one. Magloire is the last thing they need.
That trade is such a joke...Blake won't get minutes...Ha-Sung Dip-sh*t should be out of the league right now and Skinner is overpaid and won't get minutes playing behind Villy and Smith...I don't understand this trade at all....The Blazers already have Prz and Aldridge.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Jul 28 2006, 05:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I don't see LaFrentz staying too long, and Im guessing Aldridge will play Power Forward, not Center.</div>I know Aldridge is a power forward, but he's nowhere near ready to be a main player, so he'll play spot minutes at both i would assume. He needs, all the playing time he can get, but he's not ready to contribute. The Blazers need to get rid of Darius Miles, then need to find some decent Small Forward to play, and possibly start. At this point, the Blazers just don't want anyone who will stunt the growth of their younger players.
Deal sounds official, I think Portland's main goal with this trade was to get Magloire's expiring contract. As for Bucks, Blake is a nice pickup for them, he could probably push Mo for the starting spot. The other 2 bigs, don't see where they fit in, but Skinner is a good guy to have in the lockeroom and vet big. For Ha, got to represent a fellow Korean, he's the Bucks franchise! It's always good BCB to have your 14th or 15th guy for the NBDL/project. They don't make a fuss and might pay off in the end.

It is most likely to showcase him for a sign-and-trade at the end of the season(or just a future trade, he is very moveable and someone may want him for the playoffs, due to injury etc...). Blake will be nice for the Bucks, Skinner adds toughens, and Ha...ha.
The Deal is Official!<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>29th July, 2006 - 7:37 pmJournal Times - The Bucks have verbally agreed to deal the veteran center to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Steve Blake, forward Brian Skinner and center Ha Seung-Jin, according to Gery Woelfel of the Journal Times. The deal won't be announced until all players pass physicals and the trade is officially approved by the league offices. The trade has been discussed for several weeks because Portland was reluctant to give up Blake, who started 57 games for them last season, his first in Portland.</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/417...each_agreement/
Ha Seung-Jin... why would anyone ever want him? Steve Blake? I understand getting him as back-up but giving up Magloire was a mistake. Brian Skinner is useless, he'll be stuck behind Villa and not play, completely un-necessary.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>That doesn't make sense because they are giving up 3 expiring contracts to get him.</div> It's easier to move one big expiring contract at the trade deadline then it is three.

It's not worth Magloire for him and he'll just be stuck on the bench for some time with Charlie V in front of him.
The spurs gave Milwaukee a better offer for Maglore IMO. Steve Blake is the only decent player out of all of these and adding him would just take away minutes from Mo Williams. And for the Blazers, they just resigned Joel Pryzz and drafted Lamarcus AND traded for Raef so they have more than enough big men....Well, i guess they are moving LaMarcus to back up Zach Randolph....This trade would be stupid for both teams IMO.

Sure they have alot of big men at this point, now that they have pretty nice depth, they can see how it works out for them this year, if it isn't such a great turn out they got a good amount of big men that they can trade for smaller, more athletic players. I agree about the Bucks though.
