congrats to former blazers guard @TaureanJGreen who will play in summer league with the new jersey nets.

I expect Brooklyn to win at least 4 summer league games then

    No EWill?

Take out Matthews. No way Blazers let him play.

Williams isn't playing. Still recovering from his shoulder injury.

Mike Rice and HCP have both said Matthews is playing. Why wouldn't the Blazers let him play?

    Stiff is someone unknown.

Cooney is Leonard because he is the great white hope

Because he's making too much money and been in the league too long to benefit from playing in summer league?

It'd be stupid to let him play.

I'm kind of glad Matthews will be at Summer League. Perfect opportunity to see if Lillard can make good use of a spot up shooter like him.

I don't think any of us think he should play, but he said he was going to, which is why I added him in the first place

IMO if he wants to play there's nothing wrong with letting him play. If nothing else it'll be good for Lillard and Leonard. Matthews can also try doing stuff he doesn't do in real games.

Against rookies and second year players? Against guys that won't even be in the league?

This is time to see what the rookies/younger players can do. The Blazers don't need a guy from the regular season starting lineup in there getting in their way. This isn't for players like him.

Well it does give Lillard the chance to play with a real NBA player and to see if he can actually use him instead of going bonkers as a scorer like Bayless did ... which didn't exactly show anything.

I love people complaining about Wes playing in summer league. The dude wants to get better. Would you rather have him playing against random guys at 24 hour fitness? Yeah there might be a few scrimmages with better players, but it's not like the lockout last year. There aren't going to be as many games left and right, especially with all of the injuries (just take a look at the Olympics roster). Opportunities are watered down this year. Good on Wes for wanting to get better, play with a few teammates, build some chemistry, and maybe build some confidence in areas of his game that he isn't as good at. It's funny that people are complaining about Lillard doing 1v0 workouts, then when Wes wants to get in some time with real people, guys hate on that as well. We can never be happy can we?
