Talk about Teague. Excited. Great program, played in big games, improved as the season went along.

Didnt work him out, they are good, but scouts have followed him for years. Watched games he played in. Comfortable pick.

Why a pt guard? Best available player with #29 pick. It unfolded that way. He was the best fit.

Will a 19 year old have trouble getting playing time. Learn system and team mates. If he practices well then he gets playing time. Players determine how much time they get. Asik is an example. Played a lot as a rookie.

Will Derrick and Marquis play at the same time. Ya. Derrick can play with anybody. Sometimes you are playing against two pt guards. We did it with CJ and Derrick and it worked well.

Will Derrick always be a pt guard? He is a basketball player. Pt guard first, but can play SG. Dynamic transition player and great pick and roll player. Doing all of the things needed in rehab.

Silvy was down that heat won the title. Well someone had to win it according to TT. Thunder and Heat was a close series. Heat shot very well and earned it.

Had Derrick stayed healthy do we get past the heat? I liked our chances, like our team, can improve. Challenge next year.

Deng, surgery and olympics? Fine with it. Feels better wrist is stronger. May not have surgery. Wrist feels better! Training camp and ready to go on opening night!

Tension with Deng and front office about playing in the Olympics? No everything is fine.

Contract extenstion? No big deal, they picked up the option. I am fine. At some point this summer, we will talk again. Draft and FA has me busy.

FA, summer league and some guys working out already so a lot going on. Take some time off in August

Brandon Roy? Dont know. Hopes he can make a come back.

That may be why he wasnt traded. His wrist with rest is much better.

I think this might lead to him being traded tho. Let him rest up first and see how things go after the olympics and if he's all ready to go we might see a deal

I doubt it. The time to trade him was yesterday. Of course, just my opinion.

I think there's a non-trivial chance that the Bulls make a trade with some key players at the deadline. It'll of course depend o n a lot of variables, but I believe trades made at the deadline can impact your lux tax standing for that season.

Can someone explain to me exactly how the amnesty works? Cuz Ive heard friends talk about they want Booz amnestied and I want to be able to elaborate more on the subject besides "they wont" or "theres no reason to do so now". I've also heard a mix of trade deng and amnesty booz (but thats mainly from realgm and i dont take their comments too seriously)

Amnesty boozer and his $15M salary comes off the books. We'd regain the cap space.

But Reinsdorf and the team still have to pay him $15M for each of the next 3 seasons. If he signed with the heat for $1M, the Bulls would pay $14M.

No way the Bulls want to pay him $14M to play for someone else. He's still plenty good.

Friedell said today on Waddle and Silvy that if Boozer is to be amnestied it will be next season, not this season. We need his scoring with Rose out as long as he will be. He talked like it was a real possibility next season.

I agree Transplant, if they were going to trade him it would have been yesterday. The only way he gets traded now is if it is a blockbuster type trade.

Ok thats wat I'd been hearing but wasnt really too sure on the cap space since we still have to pay him. I agree that we keep him because he puts up numbers during the regular season, its the playoffs and his "i played good in the reg season and thats all that matters, yo" mentality that now has me wanting his head.

And TB i heard Fridell say the same thing and I believe him. We all know management HAS to see that this really isnt working out like we hoped. I can see them cutting losses when a better opportunity may present itself, there might be a marquee FA theyre lookin at next year or something.

Boozer won't be amnestied this year and probably not next season either. I see this as a basketball decision because Boozer's still a pretty productive player. No doubt, his shooting in game 6 of the Philly series was horrible. Still he averaged 10 rebs/game in that series and scored 18+ points in three of those games.

Seems to me that if Boozer's ever going to be amnestied, it'll be when Mirotic is ready to come over. The Bulls will want to give Mirotic a full-MLE deal (rather than rookie scale for a #23 overall pick) and to do that, they've got to get out of luxury tax/mini-MLE territory. About the only way they'll be able to do this is to amnesty Boozer.

They have a choice in how they'll pay Mirotic? That's news to me. They're really sold on him if they amnesty Boozer to make room for him, which is good news, I guess, if it happens.
