Hey I was wondering if any Knicks fans here have any info or pics of Eddy Curry this summer. I want to know how he is doing, because he gained a lot of weight from 05 to 06. He got kind of fat. That makes me mad because he has sooo much potential, and if he is packing on pounds that shows he might not work hard. What's the deal? Any articles, info, pics, anything????

the knicks are giving him too much slack. The bulls demanded he show up at 285 which was the main reason he lost that weight. the moment he got traded he put it all back on

Yeah, the Chicago Bulls have a great organization. The Knicks need to buckle down and demand harder work or Curry is going to eventually throw his talent away. I mean, it shouldn't be that way (he should work hard on his own), but that's the way it is in this league nowadays.

Curry is clearly in better shape in Chicago and more muscular. He really was a beast on the block with the Bulls, and in 04 I would call him top 3-5 center in the NBA. Now, he's just gained weight, went to a terrible ballclub, and lost all of his consistancy. What the hell is wrong with him? That sucks too man, I mean not only do I like him, but he's wasting all that talent. He has All-Star talent/potential in this league easy. It just pisses me off when I see a player like him wasting that talent.

I know nfo about him this Off-Season. It is said that he hasn't wroked out and is still out of shape. This came from a scout by the way, I got told this. And I am very dissapointed with this because why do we need a guy that we dealt Sweets, Tyrus Thomas, Tim Thomas, and possibly Greg Oden for next year for. It will all go down as a waste. If you really think about that deal it amazes you. Curry refuses to lose weight and I bet Tyrus Thomas is very successful in his NBA Career. Saying this just makes me angry.

    1. Sweetney - I love him, but he has a worse weight problem than Curry ever will
    2. Tim Thomas - only shows up in contract years.
    3. Tyrus Thomas - will be a good player
    4. Greg Oden - that would SUCK for you haha.

If Curry stayed in shape the trade could be worth it, but that's not the case.

take it easy people. we just had the 06 draft and we're already predicting the knicks are gonna be in the nba basement and gonna lose their lottery pick. sorry but it's not gonna happen. this team is gonna be much better under thomas. they may not make the playoffs but they will be better than 23-59. greg oden is gonna be the number one pick next year, we all know that but stop saying that the knicks are gonna have that pick but lose it to the bulls. this is why i keep saying the world is against the knicks and everyone wants them to fail and it pisses me off.now about eddy curry i heard he went to the summer league. he said he was gonna go there but he didn't play on the team. i haven't heard about him being in bad or good shape. i wanna know if he's gonna be in shape because if he's not than i want that slob outta here. him and jerome james don't seem to give a sh*t about basketball so why bother keeping them? james likes to eat big macs and curry likes to tumble like a gymnast.

Sorry I just want everyone in the Atlantic to fail except my Raptors but it looks like the Atlantic is only getting better so I might as well talk trash about teams like NY, Bos, Philly while theyre sh*t.Anyways back to Curry, I only get to see him play when the Knicks or Bulls faced the Raptors but if he can stay in decent shape he is definitly an elible candidate for a top 5 centre. During his Bull days he just ruined the Raptors everytime we faced off...it would be sad to see his career go down the drain because he is a sloath. I would get rid of James faster then Curry, theres still fight left in him.

It seems to me that Eddy Curry just wants his paycheck, and that it does not matter where he is in the league. He knows if the Knicks want to move him, teams will step up, because of his potential talent. This is just the way it appears.I want him to do great, and he had potential, possibly still does. He had solid seasons in 2004 and 2005. The problem was and still is, his minutes. He only got around 20-30 minutes per game ever since 2003. Before that he had less minutes. If he plays longer however, he will need better conditioning. For a center in modern-day NBA, I feel it's more important to do circuit training and gain lean muscles rather than adding mass for bulk. Just for basketball though. He should do a lot of cardio excercises and circuit training. I was hoping he was, and actually EXPECTING him to do so. Big dissapointment, but I haven't given up on him yet as a fan.

Eddy Curry is the only player on the Knicks I like. It's probably because he's the most similar player to Shaq in the entire league. Except he isn't as good a rebounder, defender, just player in general. I had high hopes for Curry coming into the league. I still think he can achieve. He's just gotta buckle down. Unofrtunatley I don't think it will be with the Knicks.

If Eddy would just work he would be a great player. He might never pull down 10 boards a night but hi scoring especially early in games makes up for it. I was sorry to see him go, even though we got a great deal for him. i wish he would just pick up the slack. A couple of years of college ball could have really helped Curry learn the game better to say nothing of cond.I still think he has a chance, and Isiah's a players coach so maybe the carrot will work over the whip.
