Kahn and Jaynes used to be co-workers at the Oregonian.

The thing is... Even with Douche... Err Dwight... Playing this like he's right.... This situation is setup with an easy excuse/out for him to present and when he's wrong, point the blame elsewhere, or at least hide out.

was just laughing to myself thinking about Dwight and his source, and saw someone mention it being Kahn. Then laughed thinking about Dwight saying in his article responses how a GM had told him Batum's cap hold would increase, and thought, it was probably Kahn. And now, he's not as quick to rush an offer, after Dwight's readers had to correct dwight, who had to correct Kahn.

yep, he already has, with saying Batum will deny because he has to play here. Well then you can make up whatever you want, it's pathetic, and I wish he would have to go back to his independent blog,a nd comcst would get rid of his old ass. I have no doubt someone here could do just as well.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. He's an assclown. He's in a situation now that's easy to make excuses to hide the truth and appear like he's legit. Unlike his mistake earlier this week.

I bet even his wife thinks he's a cheap, inaccurate whore.

Sadly for Minny, that's EXACTLY as I think it has played out. Kahn is in so far over his head. When he was trying to the MLB to PDX thing, it was a joke to listen to him on the radio trying to explain how it was more than a pipe dream.

What he has on Glen Taylor, well, let's just be thankful for it, because they're a division rival.

Did Kahn really think that having Batum sign one second before the Blazers on 7/11/12 would screw over Portland because of their cap hold? REALLY? Because that was just so dumb, it's really inexplicable.

I'm more entertaining, better looking, younger, know more than Dwight in terms of the CBA, and I'm not afraid to make a fool of myself.

    Comcast, hook me up!

Actually, I'm guessing he probably meant "impeccable" as in "Having no flaws; perfect. Incapable of wrongdoing," but just didn't know how to spell it and got screwed by auto-correct.

Re: Minnesota wants Batum @ ~12M a year

I actually don't think Dwight has made anything up ... but I do think he's awfully quick to trust the word of Batum's agent or maybe it's Kahn and pass it to the public.

That said, maybe Nicolas really does want out? Maybe the instability of having no coach in place and the addition of a lot of rookies and/or entering a rebuilding phase puts him off? Perhaps the breakdown in talks over an extension soured him on the team? Maybe he really does want to play alongside Rubio and play for Rick Adelman? After all, It's not like Minnesota is the same tire-fire they were a couple of years ago; they sort of look like a playoff team if you want to be honest, maybe that's something Nic is interested in?

Re: Minnesota wants Batum @ ~12M a year

If we let Minnesota sign Batum, we'd be in a position to max another max offer next year. There are some good potential RFAS and UFAS....James Harden, Stephen Curry, Monta Ellis, Kevin Martin, Tyreke Evans, Ibaka, Ariza....

It's tough to get a free agent though, so the Blazers will probably over-pay to keep Batum, but it is a big over-pay.
