They've lost Tyson Chandler and have gotten all these new guys, it's great that they've grabbed players like Tyrus, Wallace, PJ, and JR but JR had problems with the Hornets Staff what is to say he wont have problems here, Tyrus is new to the league and Wallace is changing the scenery from a team he won a championship with. Do you guys think that this will be a hurting factor throughout thsi year?
I dont think so.... the only reason the really got anywhere last year was because they had awesome chemistry.... not cos they have a awe-inspiring line up. They kept the same core , big ben is a veteren and will fit in same with brown. Thier rookie/s will be carting the bags n coffee same as every year, they wont be too big a part of the run this season
I dont think it will be a problem..if somthing like this happens it shouldnt take too long before they start playing with good chemistry. Oh yea.. you mentioned JR. He got traded.
I think the original poster is jumping the gun big time on this. The team has not even played a pre season game and you are trying to judge chemistry? The starters have not been set, the bench has not been set, there is no way to judge it at this point. Yes we added guys to the mix, but they are Paxson and Skiles kind of players, so all they can do is make the chemistry better then it was last year. The Bulls will have awesome chemistry this year and be even better on defense then last year. I am very much looking forward to seeing this group play, it should be alot of
Hoopsnut, the fact is that they've gotten completely new players, the team is different they're not used to playing iwth these guys, it's a probable chance that the Bulls will have no chem.
Jr smith isnt there nomore. Ben wallace isnt going to score 20ppg.Theres not going to be alot of problems. Maybe the 1st few games they will be. Being tyrus looks like a 10-15ppg player as a rookie. PJ i dont think is going to get alot of min anyway. I see Mike sweet playing a lil more then him.Ben wallace and Tyrus thomas will grab so many off reb after Gordon and kirk shoot which will add more points.i would say bulls have the best defense lineup ofKirkBen- whos still getting better defending and isnt bad nomoreNocTyrusBen.i say we will shut alot of teams down which is gonna help is the team isnt playing well with eachother 2 start off the season
No chemisrty? How do you figure that one at all? The ccre of the team is still in place that has developed chemistry over the last 3 seasons and all you added in the off-season were guys that fit the mold Paxson wants for this team. There is zero chance of no chemistry happenning on this team, not with the core still there. To remind youm the core according to Paxson is Kirk,Ben, Noc, Deng and Duhon also. Those guys have played together for the last 2 seasons and this will be the third one, the chemistry has gotten better every year, there is no reason to think it will revert back. Now you add in Wallace, Tryus, Selfasho, Kryappo, Griffin to the bench of Sweets and Allen, plus whoever else makes the team. Likely Luke or Badsen at this point. All of those guys are quality guys who won't ruin team chemistry, they can only make it better, so again your theory is not sound. Are they a different team now? Yes they are, but different for the bettter. They are a deeper, faster, longer and more experienced team across the board. Paxson knew what parts needed to be added on this team and there is no reason to doubt him with his track record as a GM to this point. I am very excited to see what they can do as a team, I think there is alot of possibilites with the bench we will have. Teams will have a hard time matching up through the whole game agaisnt us, because we have alot fo different ways to play a lineup. With the way that Skiles uses his bench, who knows what combos he will use. I have a pretty good idea of the lineup already, but it is still too early to get a complete feel for it. Not trying to bash you man, but I just dont understand how any Bulls fan who has watched this team grow and develop can say something like that.
It will be a little tougher than everyone thinks. New players always bring the question of chemistry. I think the bigger word for Chicago fans is "PATIENCE". It WILL take some time for this team to develop some chemistry. Especially with Ben Wallace. Wallace had some problems in Detroit the last couple of years as he started to get overshadowed by guys like Billups, Hamilton, and even Rasheed. They were doing what they had to in order to win games, HOWEVER, they were not doing what they did in the past which is "do your best to hide Ben's weaknesses". Mainly, one on one defense. They were playing more straight up man which did not allow ben to roam as much as he wanted to in order to pick up more rebounds and more weakside blocks. I think everyone else will fit in very well. And as long as whoever starts at PF is a great defender, Ben should fit right in. If not, there MAY be some problems.
What? I think they still have good chemistry. No one on their team is a ball hog, and they still have most of the good offensive players that they had last year. All of them don't overshoot 3 pointers too. I don't see what you mean with chemistry issues..
lack of chemistry? oh please, they've added on a few pieces. You think Big Ben's going to disrupt chemistry? he never touches the ball! and thomas is still just a rook. PJ Brown is just a hustle player, he's tough, doesn't do anything to hurt chemistry. Same with Griffin.
what lack of chemistry!?the core is still there and they've added great team vets in PJ, Grif (who was a captain here just 2 years ago) and Ben.it's not really an issue for me
Hey, I think at the start of the year you always run the risk of a bit of a slip in chemistry and performance if you bring a couple new players in, but I think by the first of December or the tail end of November, the bugs will have been worked out and die hard Bulls fans will have a merry Xmas and A hapy new year to look forward to, barring major injuries, although I still will only say we will make it out of the first round, unless they really come together fast as Big Ben is a great team motivator.
