    Stay relevant?

    Perimeter defense has been a HUGE problem for the Lakers the last couple of years.

    This does nothing to solve this issue.

    All it really does is take the ball out of Kobe's hands. He kept breaking the offense last season.

    They need PG production badly. Blake was horrible and Sessions faded down the stretch. Nash isn't a great defender obviously, but he's going to get the ball into the hand of Bynum and Gasol much better than any PG they've had.

    I have to believe the agent leaked that to get other teams to offer up more (which they will). There is no way Hawes doesn't get a better offer than that.

    I'd take Sessions here if he comes fairly cheap, with Nash goin to LA I doubt he wants to stay in LA

    I wouldn't expect his agent to allow him to leave an agreed upon deal. That's bad news for the agent and his other clients in the future.
