In this year's draft I dont think drafting sheldon williams was wise, maybe Knight sees something in Williams that I dont.I think Rob Babcock can be classified as one of the worst GMs for the short time he was in Toronto. Drafting Aroujo over Igoudala....Trading Vince Carter for Eric, Aaron Williams and Zo (ouch).One of my favorite GMs at the moment besides Colangelo (bias raps fan) has to be Jery West.
I have always felt that Riley is the best of our generation. I always loved him leading LA, then building NY and Miami.
Does R.C. Buford of the Spurs get no love? He got Manu Ginobili 2nd to last in a draft and Tony Parker in the last pick of the first round. As of late, he has been a little slow but after the year 2007, the Spurs will only have "3" players under contract.(Tony, Tim, Manu) Which means they will have the cap room to bring in another very good player. R.C. Buford was behind that. I think he is one of the top 5 GMs in the league.
he may not currently be a gm...............scott layden, he loves soft guys from utah, overpaying role players and back up pg's and drafting players ahead of ron artest who never actually played for the team (frederic weis).
