Is it true that when I sell my house, that I have a 3.8% tax to pay that goes directly to pay for Obamacare? I hope not. I hope that only for larger houses. Thanks to the housing meltdown we are seriously upside down on out mortgage. We have to sell when I retire as we cannot afford to maintain a house and as it is we'd be very lucky to break even (our goal). This would kill that hope. Geeze, another tax on the poor- if it's true. Anyone know anything about that or is it right wing propoganda?
In Oregon, it means if you make a profit of over $1 million on the sale of your house, and don't seek professional tax-evasion advice, you might have to pay a 3.8% tax on the amount over $1 million.
yeah basically the answer is a big NO bp, unless you are in the top 3% of income earners AND make over 500k PROFIT on your house...i think if either of those things happen, you wouldnt really be complaining yet there are people complaining...
i mean this effects 3% of the population, but people would have you believe the majority are opposed to it...
well, continue to do the bidding of the top 3%, and then wonder why everyone else is getting fucked in the ass then
The less the wealthy are taxed, the more you and the rest of the middle-class(s) will be taxed. It takes a heap of naivete' to believe otherwise.
