There is no reason to take on Douglas when there is a better backup PG already on the roster -- Nolan Smith. Think about that.
yeah no thanks to toney douglas, if the blazers have a remotely comparable youth on the roster, play them instead
Seriously no thank you to Douglas. Why in the world would we want this guy? What does he bring that Smith doesn't? Just looking over his #'s and this is exactly the kind of move we shouldn't be making this offseason. Don't tie up any money in worthless bench players.
Yeah, lets screw our own rebuilding plans by taking on contracts for players that don't help us so the Knicks can add more players and get better. Who do they think they are, the Lakers?

Kyle Lowry to teh Rockets. how's that advanced stats genius method of GMing working out for ya? :MARIS61:
there are a lot of people who advocated the "advanced stats" method of GMing, which is basically Daryl Morey when Cho got hired. Doesn't really work, the brute method of just jamming your roster with stars is the best way to go.
They got a guaranteed future lottery pick for a player who didn't want to be in Houston. I'd say that's pretty good, no?
Or Lin. I have no idea what they will do? Maybe wait until next year? Like Portland, they are kinda lost in the shuffle right now
that's what happens when you build a team with role players first instead of superstars first as your target! Advanced Stats FTW! :MARIS61:
Its a philosophy of building a team backwards when you are obsessed with it like Morey and guys like Cho are. You number crunch and waste all that time when in reality you should focus on getting big ticket guys at all costs, then dealing with the role players and guys with some obscure pick and roll conversion rate later.
What are the protections on that pick? Jonas could be the favorite for ROY and there are terrible teams in the East; Toronto could easily overachive next season and sneak into the playoffs.
