God I hope our only move is not Captain Kirk. Again...pick up the option on Watson would be much better.

I'm not mad if Kirk and Lee come, as some guy who claims he does the research for ESPN and posts at RealGM is claiming.

    I believe nothing and everything.

Do hope we keep the Turkish Delight.

Kirk and Lee would be alright, I guess. They'd hold down the fort. I'm holding out for Bayless, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I also wonder if the Rockets would consider a S&T for Kevin Martin using our expirings. Supposedly they were thinking of amnestying him.

A resigned Asik, Korver, Brewer, Rip for Martin, Lee. Sign Bayless.

    Bayless/Teague
    Martin/Lee
    Deng/Butler
    Boozer/Taj
    Noah/???

With Bayless sliding to 3rd guard when Rose returns. Not holding my breath, but I'd take it.

KMart is an expiring ~$12.5M deal. The guy was a stud before suffering injuries. I mean, the kind of guy who could lead the league in scoring.

He's basically turned into a ~43% shooter, but can still score. He looked like he was back in form a couple seasons ago, but missed 26 games this past season and had another down year.

He's a big scoring guard that would really help us a lot, but he's also going to be 30 when Rose returns for his first full season after his rehab. He'll get his points without Rose having to manufacture for him, which is a great thing. The guy gets to the FT line better than anyone the Bulls have had in years. He's not much of a playmaker for his teammates, but at 3.1 APG last season, he's pretty good for a pure SG.

Trading for him would mean being into the LT by only a few $million, if the Bulls are willing. He'd come off the books after the season freeing up that $12.5M, which would put us in a position to re-sign him to a lesser contract or be under the LT enough to handle a nice raise for Taj and use the MLE on whatever player we can get to sign with us.

I know I'm the guy who doesn't believe in "injury-prone," but what's up with Kevin Martin? He's been in the league 8 seasons and has missed less than 20 games in 3 of 'em. Makes Boozer look like an iron man.

May God have mercy on our souls.

If God had wanted to have mercy on our souls he would have intervened long before this. Bringing Hinrich back isn't the worst thing that could happen but it shows the org is more concerned with putting a band-aid on the roster than getting someone who can really help once Rose is back and thus improving the roster long term.

He does want to have mercy on our souls, and therefore gave us this sign not to put our hope in the Bulls, but in Him. :-)

Anyway, I think Transplant is down with this move, but has a fatherly concern that this move will be overdramatized, particularly in the direction of this being a sign of the Apocalypse.

Regardless, it's a great prayer, so thanks, TP!

This along with mcgraw's tweet indicate the bulls aren't willing to pay for a serious contender.

Seems that way Denny, McGraw spinning it as a positive in the other thread. Several tweets, blaming the last two years on injuries, said 2010 was a good year for him.

I remember the last season he was with us. He had an awful year.
