Greg Oden has shown he is NBA Ready defensively and should pick up a better offensive game in College which Kwame skipped. I mean you can't really compare Kwame and Oden in highschool because of the fact Oden doesn't want to go to the NBA till he knows he's ready and is so determined to get as good as he can be.</div>Kwame got just as much hype as Oden did, and I get what you're saying about how he skipped college, but you've never even seen him play in the NBA or even College, wait up on the whole "Making A Franchise" around him idea. There are other big men out there, and putting 2 Big men is also not the best idea. You need back cout which is why your Oden/Howard wont mix, Paul/Oden would work better.
Oh ok I see. Not too suprised then you haven't heard of him. You should get info about him on the internet though. The guy is incredible to watch. Most dominant Center I've seen play since Shaq in his prime.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Zards @ Jul 30 2006, 12:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I'd want a young duo that is shaking the league right now. A LeBron/Howard duo would be great. You get a swingman who can do many things, and isnt afraid of taking it to the hole. You get your dominant big men in the paint with outstanding rebounding numbers and providing a defensive presence overall.</div>That would be my choice as well. Two very very young players already making a huge impact in the NBA with promising futures. There's a lot of viable options but just the fact of how young these two are and what they're already doing I can't pass them up.
To me its obvious....Lebron and Dwight. Lebron is already the 2nd best player in the league at the age of 21 and Dwight is already IMO one of the top 6 or 7 PF's in the league easy at age 20. He is a rebounding machine and his points arent as high because he isnt as involved in the offense as he should be. If those 2 players were on the same team, they would have the championship locked up for the next 8 years.

I'm not saying that he will not be a star, but I'm saying that you want to wait until you see how he's doing in the NBA before you create a franchise around him.

That graduating class is one of the best we'll ever see. Easily 5 or 6 players in that group will be superstars.

imma go with a combo ofLebron and Dwight howard orLebron and BoshorLebron and Dirk ----- with lebon getting doubled all day. Dirk open for 3
Shaq and Duncan. These two guys have been the dominant bigman for 7 of the last 8 championships. Noone better to pick than Shaq and Duncan if you want to win it all.

I am going with LeBron first. Why? Because he is amazing and 21 and I am building a franchise. So I would want to start with him. Assuming I could lock him up for a long time, contract wise. The second player, that is a tougher one for me. It depends on what type of team I want. I tend to go for a quicker, defensive team that can score while moving quickly. So pretending Amare was going to be 100% next year and pretending he gets back to himself and is getting better I might take him. Seeing as how everyone is going with a big man and more of a wing guy.
