Anyone see Dwight's video on this whole fiasco? He's like a puppet for his buddy David Kahn. Enough with the sob stories, just please let him go, wants nothing to do with Portland, etc. He's restricted and all these quotes from Ndiaye and Dwight wont change the leverage here, and it's with the Blazers. To stay relevant as a "beatwriter" Dwight has to go against the grain, whatever Quick writes, find away to flip that because I'm right and you're wrong. The Blazers will match the offer, an offer the Wolves don't have the cap for (as Hollinger went into great detail about). Nic and his agent can cry all the way to the bank. /rant
my favorite was the non stop flight from Paris, and thats why his mom got stopped in WDC. What, she couldnt fly into Seattle instead of WDC?
I'm afraid, I agree. Just let him walk. Of course, I'd rather take back an asset. So I would be open to a sign and trade. And so should the Blazers.
dont want to tip my hand, and show myself to be so lazy, but I hate the guy and dont want to wade through his crap. Is there a link that can be posted?
His agent is totally using CNSW to get "the word out" Nic's agent is hoping that the Blazers grant Nic's "dream to play for the Timberwolves" or not to match. Fuck this guy.
Let the Victor Claver Era begin. Can he possibly be any more inconsistent than Nic was? I hope Nic enjoys his dream of shoveling snow and dealing with 80 below wind chills this fall/winter.
Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball Eric Gordon: The saddest $58 million guy ever. cbsprt.co/MaDJX3 BREAK OUT YOUR TINY VIOLINS.>>>>>>>>> This can go for Batum as well. Bust out your violin, Ndiaye!
I think I may stay away from CSNW for a few reasons. Dwight's shtick is wearing thin. He manages to turn anything and everything against the Blazers. Siding with Kahn and Batum for one, knowing full well that he's restricted and the Blazers are going to do what's best for them rather than "his dream" to play elsewhere. Haynes saying "you fans" in regards to the racial slurs, generalizing a fanbase, when it was ONE internet troll. With this ONE troll they are going to sensationalize this into their favor for website/blog hits. Dwight's "source" is clearly David Kahn, btw.
Can Claver be more inconsistent than Nic? Probably not. Can he consistently be inferior? Highly likely.
If so then Kahn incorrectly thought Batum's cap hold changes on our books the second a team signs him to an offer sheet, haha.
Goddamn that would be funny. It's probably too much to ask, but now I'm starting to seriously wonder if the Wolves will even be capable of making a legal offer to Nic? Kahn: "Yeah, Stern baby, we wanna make Nic Batum an offer the Blazers can't not refuse." Stern: "Sounds good, if we could just go ahead and take a peek at your balance sheet" Kahn: "Balance-wha?" Stern: "Your contracts -- what are your contract commitments" Kahn: "I think I've got those on a paper napkin somewhere ... give me a minute"
Dwight's protege, Haynes, is laying on the Nic demands a trade pretty thick over on Twitter. Almost like he's on Nic's payroll. Quick mentioned this as well but that quickly stopped after their meeting where the Blazers said they'd match and will not engage in trade talks. Jason Quick >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CSNW.
Dwight is useless and clueless with sports. There are a dozen people here that are substantially better.
I wasn't a big Jaynes fan before all this but I thought Haynes was decent, now I can't stand either of them. Are they ignorant to the fact that they are being played by the Agent and their "source" (aka Kahn) or do they just not care and are going for the web hits? Either way it's awful "journalism" and both should be ashamed of themselves.
Without a S&T, it's pretty difficult to see how they can make the offer to Nic AND sign brandon for 5 a year. They have to trade someone away, as well as amnesty Darko and waive webster and miller. It doesn't seem, anyways, like they'd be able to make the offer on the 11th, since they would need webster and miller to clear waivers, I think.
Exactly my thoughts. They are totally being played by typical 'agent talk', I was a huge fan of Haynes until this. It's like he's working on behalf of Nic and blatantly forgetting there are two sides to this. Should the Blazers, a business, give away their starting SF to a division rival because he wants to play with Rubio and Roy? The Blazers have to do what is best for them.
