    Toronto will give up its 2013 1st (protected) to acquire Kyle Lowry from the Rockets, according to the latest reports.

    Toronto will also give up Gary Forbes in the deal.

    Im confused? What is toronto doing with bayless? He played well last year now he is in a logjam.

    We made the qualifying offer. He can play for that. Otherwise I think they will let him go. They don't want to overpay for a backup PG, I reckon.

    No word yet on what kind of protection will be on the 2013 pick. Doubtful it is unprotected considering sign-and-trades rarely yield much for the team shipping the player out.

    lowery wasnt a sign and trade, hes already signed for two more years i think

    nice pickup, if jonas comes in and beasts, that pick could be in the 20s

    Protection on the pick will delay it going to Houston if too high, or too low. Two way protection.

    Correct, he's set to make about $12m in the next two seasons. Short-term fix.

    I love this deal. Lowry is one of the few great pg defenders and he's a good offensive player to boot. He was putting up fantastic stats before getting hurt last season and then had to back up Dragic. He should really help our perimeter defense and plus he's good rebounder. Have him stand under the net and make Bargnani leak out on the break (joke).

    Btw Speeds i think the pick becomes unprotected in 2018. I don't think we make the playoffs next year but we should be a good team so the most likely scenerio is that we give up a late lottery pick next year.
