Absorb salary in a trade. Looking at the available free-agents, using the cap in a trade looks like it's the best option.
Re: In interesting option (Re: Plan B) Sure. Who needs to dump salary, and what can they pay us in return.
Jason Quick: Blazers' free agent plan is Hibbert or nothing, GM Olshey says. Focus now turns to trades, where Blazers can make an uneven financial deal 1 minute ago
Oh, and preferably someone not on the downside of their career before El Pres comes in here spouting off about Iggy
I'd look at teams looking to shed salary (Atlanta and Horford?) or teams trying to get rid of a headache (Sacramento and Evans?)
Jason Quick @jwquick Blazers' free agent plan is Hibbert or nothing, GM Olshey says. Focus now turns to trades, where Blazers can make an uneven financial deal Eliminates the thought of McGee, or Lopez or whatever. So sounds like this is, in fact, their plan B
Horford would be intriguing, but Evans and Lillard paired in the backcourt seems like it would't profit Aldridge much.
and olympian. all in the last year...but then again, he's on the decline so before that he was an ULTRA allstar and Greek Olympiad.
Jason Quick @jwquick "I don't see the guys who fit the criteria we are looking for,'' Olshey said of free agent market. He wants young, All-Star caliber player So we can stop talking about old man Iggy
it would have to be a pure salary dump for a second round pick or one of the throw-away players on our roster (i.e. pretty much everybody besides LA, Lillard and Cooney).
PG: Lillard SG: SF: Batum PF: Aldridge C: Move Batum to SG and look at Rudy Gay? There are many options out there.
