I don't think he would make us a contender at any point during his tenor in Portland, but he would get us out of the first round and make the Blazers insanely fun to watch.
I'd take Portland with the Blazers and Timbers over Minny and the 4 pro teams....I've been to Minnesota a few times to visit family....it's alright, but the pacific northwest is the best
All mid-west cities are very, very 'meh' outside Chicago. Speaking of the NFL, being so freaking close to Seattle, which the NFL sees as one big market (Seattle+Portland), we wont see an NFL team in this city. But lets not turn this topic into a pissing contest with these T-Pup fans.
I'm being serious! Who are all these rookies from Minny on my forum? I don't come on here for 12 hours and they are everywhere talking smack to my people. Can somebody tell me how this started?
This perpetual door mat all of a sudden has this fan base that has the gall to talk down to a vastly/historically superior franchise.
Factoring in the turmoil/coach/injuries; The rise of Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love - let's take a look at the 2012 attendance, shall we: #2ortland Trailblazers #15: Minnesota Timberwolves Best fans on the planet are from the Pacific Northwest. Until you surpass middle-of-the-pack in this category, then talk about "best fans"
So I was over at oregonlive.com reading the story about Olshey starting the coach interviews at summer league, and over in the sidebar is the following: I can easily understand why 196 people recommend being a serial masturbator. But I'm not sure why 640 people recommend stealing a car, getting high, and wrecking the car while masturbating. Surely most of the 640 haven't tried it themselves. barfo
Here is the list of coaches that will be interviewed, per ESPN Insider. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/features/rumors/_/date/20120710#26062 Three really good names on there, two I'm not sure of, and a guy that should be a last resort.
The only time I was in St. Paul was when a bus broke down, in January, in a blizzard, late at night, half a mile from the only open place, with a bunch of Californians (who don't have Minnesota weather gear) on board. Bummer. But OTOH, after we hiked the half mile the coffee shop, who were about to close, stayed open so we would have a warm place to wait for the new bus. Props for that. Folks, we don't need to get into a pissing match.
Anyone know anything about these three guys: Fizdale, Kalamian, Joerger. I haven't paid any attention to them to now.
Fizdale is in Miami. He guides their summer league team. He also assists in the areas of player development, scouting and game preparation Kalamian is another player development guy Joerger is a lead assistant and defensive guy. I know he interviewed with the Rockets last year before they hired McHale
