Other then the dreadful bobcats (who have our first rd pick in 2014 i believe) are the Portland Trail Blazers the worst team in the entire NBA? Will next season be watchable with a roster worse then 2005? I feel very sorry for LA and Wes.

Then absolutely not. If the Blazers let Batum walk for nothing, then we will be pretty shitty, but still not anywhere close to the worst team. The Bobs have our pick next year (top 12 protected) then top 11 the year after or whatever. Portland will have assets to make a big trade, and probably will. Also money to sign some RFA's this year that would make us competitive

With all the different Nicolas Batum trade scenarios, I'm hearing Derrick Williams is "untouchable." #Blazers

Might be time to play hardball... He's about the only asset not named "unprotected first round pick", "Ricky Rubio" or "Kevin Love" that would worth us trading Batum.

He's not untouchable, they shopped him like crazy during the draft.

When's the last time the blazers made a big trade? Felton and Wallace hardly qualify. Our roster has 1 legitimate starter as of today.

When's the last time Olshey made a trade?

Chris Paul is the answer, I believe

Haha who is our Gordon to trade?!? Not to mention blazers never make blockbusters they always fizzle out and end up on lakers or something.

I'm not saying that we will pull off a Chris Paul trade. Just that Olshey doesn't seem gun shy about trades.

Also, Camby and Wallace were both dealt last year for the 6th pick and two young former lottery picks to look at to see if they could play. Pretty decent value. Oh, and I believe Will Barton was from the Camby trade?

Batum isn't a #2 option on any team! Now throw in he's got zilch killer instinct and would rather play with Rubio and has said that.... and the Blazers might as well throw 9-10 mill out to the homeless on Burnside a year. He doesn't want to be here anymore and for as hot and cold as he is as a player I'm ready for him to be gone! Bring in someone with killer instinct and wants to be here..... Having amazing talent only works if you want to use it, and Batum is very French when it comes to taking charge of a situation.

    1. I, personally, am glad that Williams is "untouchable" and can only presume this means because the Blazers don't want to touch him.
2.This is all theater: European agents do this kind of thing all the time. The Wayne Rooney Man U negotiations went like this.
    3. Batum's agent has realized that Kahn can't actually pay the money that's promised unless the Blazers do a sign-and-trade, so he's instructed Batum to try to force the Blazers to do that.
    4. The Blazers have absolutely no incentive to do that.

This will all be forgotten (just like Hibbert's "desire to be in Portland" will be forgotten in Indy) by the time training camp rolls round.

Unless you want an unmotivated French guy who feels undervalued sleeping through the next five years of his NBA career while the Blazers rebuild.

    Something to think about!

and Batum pulls a Rudy. I think we should cut losses, try to S&T him, even if it isn't Minnesota. Batum isn't just an impact player, at least he won't be in Portland.
