If before the process even begins, you think it's "99% likely" that the blazers will match, then you really can't be too disappointed if they do - and he isn't.
I don't think he is based on productivity under a Nate McMillan system. Minnie might be that kind of place where the coach and his teammates bring out his intrinsic and up to now underutilized ability. I'm really curious how he would do with a coach that uses him better.
Whether Nic is worth money or not is kind of beside the point. The fact is that he's a solid asset and the Blazers can't let him go for nothing or even for scraps from the T'Wolves. They need to get back something of value so there isn't a loss of talent from the roster.
