I don't think he realizes how small Portland truly is.... and our hatred runs deep. I suspect if Canzano was bleeding on the side of the road, many Blazer fans wouldn't stop to help him.
The market is 2.3 million (metro) but this market is saturated with anti-Blazer "beatwriters" as it is. This summer, outside the combine, Haynes has been blatant.
But David Aldridge's interview with Batum pretty much confirms what Dwight Jaynes said, Batum would prefer to be in Minny.
I still haven't seen much of what I'd call "journalism" coming from Haynes. He is really a very weak writer, so is Jaynes. Canzano is a shit-stirrer and a total douche, but he writes circles around the csnnw gang. Hell, at this point, is QUICK the best writer covering the Blazers locally? WOW.
To Chris, there really is no difference between unrestricted and restricted free-agency because no human can own another human.
Jaynes is a hack. Bitter old man. I feel bad for Haynes, I thought he had a promising future, with Jaynes as his mentor he is doomed to Portland fans hating him. Quick is actually my favorite blazers journalist nowadays.
Same here. He handled the Batum situation like Jaynes would have. The concept or RFA didn't click to Chris. Instead, he opted for the "you don't OWN Batum" defense.
Dwight Jaynes @dwightjaynes RT @cmconley68: why cant any PDX fans grasp the basic concepts behind this negotiation? Seems like you have to spell everything out.>>>>> His last 20 tweets have this "I can't wait for MN to force Portland into letting him go" vibe to it.
Dwight Jaynes @dwightjaynes Welcome to my world, Jerry RT @JerryZgoda: just like The Boxer, blazers hear what they wanna hear and disregard the rest, don't they?
Yeah I've been calling Haynes garbage for some time now and catching lots of flack for it. Glad people are coming around.
