Wages of Wins had Ronnie Brewer as the starting SG on their "all-underappreciated" team last year. Here's what they said about him when he was in Utah: Can you find me statistical analysis that says that Derrick Williams is worth a damn?
Oh I see - so it's that extra 0.4 of a minute that makes ALL the difference. Suddenly he can shoot better than 40%.
Aren't you clever. Except that I've never said Claver was much good. At best I've said he's probably better than Babbitt, and that's called "damning with faint praise." But don't let what I've actually said cloud your opinion of me.
Rudy, Greek Shaq, Planinic, Spanoulis, Garbajosa, Giricek, Ukic, Welsch, Ajinca, Gelabale, Mensah-Bonsu, Caparkapa, Rakocevik, Pecherov.......... Did I forget anybody?
I don't care what the stats say, the guy can ball. He was a rookie coming off zero summer league and almost zero preseason camp. I am no college BB junkie, but I do watch a lot of Pac 12 games and unless he has picked up some off the court problems I don't know about, or has absolutely no work ethic, he would be a steal. And unless he has some drug issues that we don't know about, then he is no Beasley either.
You mean knowing about players you've never heard of counts as clamoring over them? And actually, you did make up a few that I've never mentioned and don't like. But don't let that stop you.
I'm tired of doing all the work while you just make shit up. But then again, it doesn't really take any effort. Shock horror: maybe Rubio is actually much more important to the Wolves than Kevin Love!
You're looking at it backwards. As with most bench players, when he thrived in a game he was given 25+ minutes.
Derrick Williams was inconsistent as most 20 year olds without a defined role are. Give consistent minutes and he gave consistent production. Thats really the bottomline.
I suppose. But as a 20 year old rookie without a defined role and a lot of depth on the roster thats what happens. I think with a condensed season that wasn't true all of the time.
