i was just wondering how many people like the team in there city. " just basketball"Not me. Living in NYC i never like the knicks... Been a bull my whole life.
I live in Ohio and that is the reason I like the Cavs. I can follow them better and watch more games.
Born in Philly and right now live 10 minutes out of the city. I watch just about every Sixers game though even though Heat come first for me. I get a chance to catch Sixer games occasionally. Been a fan of them since 1999 or so.
I did, grew up and lived in Miami practically my whole life, recently moved, but I'll always be a Heat fan no matter what.
Been a Wizards fan for 6 or so years, I live right outside of DC. I used to like the Celtics though, because I just liked Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker a lot.
i live in AZ, but even though I love the Suns, I hate the diamondbacks. not only do they suck, they are boring and have luis gonzalez who is getting annoying as hell.
Alot of people from DC aren't Wizards fans, my school is infested by Pistons fan who loved Tayshaun/Chauncey/Ben but we still have our Wizards fans. When I went to game 3 of the playoffs Wiz vs. Cavs, a bunch of the people there were rooting for the Cavs, it was insane in there. DC for champs!
I live in New Hampshire (40-45 minutes away from the TD BankNorth Garden) and I have been a Celtic fan my whole life. Yes, I like my team, and I love the history we have. Boston sports are great, the fans are extrodinary and all of the professional Boston teams have great history. Sure, our current Celtics don't win a whole lot of games, but we give everyone a run for their money and give great energy. Once in a blue moon do we actually get blown out. I also love watching these young players progress. Watching these guys improve game-by-game before my eyes is great to watch. Go Boston! Go Celtics!
Well Delaware has zero professional teams, just minor league teams. The closest teams to us are Wiz and Sixers. I've despised pretty much every Philly team growing up, also didn't get into basketball till middle school and was just a partial fan. Was a huge baseball fan at the time with little league and sh*t. Big fan of the Orioles even though they suck now, so I guess that counts as a hometown team in some aspect. For basketball, I was a Kidd fan at first in Phoenix, followed him there. Wasn't a Suns fan though, started following basketball quite a bit after that, met Michael Finley and he became one of my favorite players. Watched the following playoffs, saw the Mavs play Utah Jazz. Loved the build of the team, and started pulling for them. They came back down 0-2 to win the series on a Calvin Booth game winner. Lost to the Spurs in 2nd round. But from there on, been a Mavs fan since.
^ I love it out in Boston. The city is great, and the Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox, like you said, do indeed have great history.Well I have been a Lakers fan a half-year after I started watching basketball (I was very young then and just liked Michael Jordan, then he retired and I found a team) I saw Kobe play against MJ in the 98 all-star game. I really started to like him, and whenever they showed Laker games wherever, I would watch them. I've been a co-Knicks fan ever since 95, when I was 3. Loved Patrick Ewing.
I like the knicks now that houston is gone... they just need to learn how to play TOGETHER cause the talent is there
I don't exactly live in Toronto, but I'm from Canada so that counts as the home-town team right? I also like the Jays, and I'm not a hockey fan, so yeah.
Yup Knicks I have been watching them since 2001 first i got into Basketball rooted for them and the Lakers. I love the Yankees too my other favorite team. Im not Jet fan im Giant fan.

Suns, Diamondbacks, Cardinals, Rattlers, ASU, Mercury, Sting...
Yea, I love my hometown teams. I live in Miami so I got the Miami Heat, the Florida Marlins, the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Panthers. The Heat are my favorite out of all four because I love basketball a lot more than any other sport. And I sometimes follow the Marlins and the Dolphins but I don't really follow the Panthers because I'm not really into hockey.
teams closest to me are the warriors and kings. but the first team i saw on TV was 2004 playoffs game 6 round 2 when SActown had to force a game seven on minnesota, peja had a good game. I fell in love with the team!
