    If Minny was to make the moves to offer Batum his contract, Blazers would have to either let Batum go or let a max offer deal go.

    Yet no offer to Batum. If Batum signed the offer today, Ptd would not match. Khan is blowing it unless intense S&T negotiations are going on.

    Would love to land him, a long time ago, i wanted him to be our top target this offseason. I would think Brooklyn matches, unless we got involved in the 3 way.
    Other thought, this could very easily just be a slight favor to Brook's agent. A little here, we'll scratch your back,. by getting your client signed, and you do us a solid later. Could very well not want his client just sitting out there while cap space dries up, at the worry that all of a sudden Brooklyn would go a different direction or something.
