discussing a contract with nuggets for around 10 mil. a year. i know he made some bonehead mistakes in washington, but i remember him being a beast against the lakers in the playoffs. making bynum look inferior in some games. the nuggets are an organization that doesnt make a lot of mistakes and if they are about to give him 10 mil a year they obviously see something in him. with a front line of LMA, nic(hes coming back), claver, freeland and mcgee....that has pretty good potential for a front court.

Take it from me (a guy who watched Javale at Nevada his 2 years), you want to stay away from the enigma. He seriously lacks anything between the ears, and the Portland community would be smothered by mama Pam McGee. You'll get sick and tired of the crowd groans and moans outnumbering the cheers for him each night. Don't do it!!!!

I'd take McGee over Hibbert talent wise.

This is especially the case when you consider that McGee will get < money than Hibbert too.

Bonehead, but would take him in a second if the price was right.

McGee has tons of physical talent, but is really a knucklehead. Not worth a big contract. He is more inconsistent then Nic

There are questions about his attitude and desire, of course, but I don't think that he's all that skilled.

Physically capable? Sure. He can run and jump.

    But skilled?

His free throw percentage last season was 46.1. That is tuh-rrible.

Does he block shots? Yes. He's also a decent rebounder. And he's only 24.

But $10m/year for a guy who can't stay on the court for more than 25 or 27 minutes a game? I'll pass, thanks.

What else do you need from a center? It's all about defense and rebounding when it comes to bigs.

Not for $10m a year playing half the game.

And blocking shots alone doesn't make him a good defensive player.

I would rather give minutes to Meyers then to McGee, I hate the idea of him on this team.
