    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>30th July, 2006 - 1:07 pm
Seattle Times - According to an NBA source, the Suns, Warriors and Kings have contacted the Sonics with offers for Chris Wilcox in a sign-and-trade deal.

The Sonics want an All-Star caliber forward in return for Wilcox.</div>-Realgm.com

So Wilcox is possibely being signed and traded, Wilcox would find a settle place with any of these teams however I do not think the Sonics will give him up, Wilcox has gelled well with the newly traded team and should stay there as they move to a new city, and attempt to get the team into the playoff's. As it says in the article the Sonics want an All-star caliber forward for him, I can see him going to be traded for possibely Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Francisco Garcia, two capable forwards, one experienced and againg and one young, however if they're into getting an All-Star forawrd for Wilcox unless they offer Ron Artest which would be ridiculous on the part of the Kings, they have nothing to offer. The Suns have the same problem, they're a team of Gaurds and Amare Stoudamire. The Warriors on the other hand can offer Troy Murphay and Micheal Dunleavy, the Warriors have the best chance of getting him, however I do not think the Sonics want to give him up, and they shouldn't, he's young and talented he could develop nicely alongside Ray Allen in this orginization.

I see Wilcox taking the qualifying offer and staying for one more year with the Sonics, trying to boost his value further up and test the market again next year. Sonics won't budge in upping their offer and won't trade sign and trade him if they don't get any good offers. So that leaves Wilcox left with the qualifying offer, just like Sonics did with Vlad and Evans.

i think that the sonics are treading dangerously, they need to wrap him up long term.... give himthe chance to grow into a possible all star. He has shown glimpses of that this year and will only get better as he learns to anticipate his team mates better. On the other hand if i were him, i would bolt for a bigger market- give myself the best chance of getting a big longterm deal and some endorsements.

Wilcox for Murphy doesn't seem like a bad idea. I could see that going down actually.

Well I think that we should make a trade for Wilcox maybe for Murphy. You never know. He could help us with our defense. He can board too. But in the end i think that wilcox will be signed for not too much but around 7.5 a mil. I think That a 2 yr, 15 or 16 mil would be a smart contract. not very long, not only one year, plus we dont send away too much for too long.

I do like that trade though, Murphy is a good player who is a double double threat every single night. He can rebound, pass, and hit the 3 pointer.

I think he will re-sign with the Sonics. He had a breakout half-year for them, and Im sure he wants to go back there, and they probably want him back too.

Sund is cheap.

I don't think anyone would sign him for 8-9 mil a year, so I don't really know what you mean

Right now, the Warriors need any front court player to come replace Foyle at C cuz he is absolutely hopeless. His only strength by a little bit is blocking. Even in NBA Live, his rating sucks.

That actually doesn't sound bad but the Sonics GM thinks to highly of his forwards Lewis and Wilcox because he said he wants a all-star forward back in return :HAHAHA:. But I think Diogu might do the trick he's a looked upon a good prospect.
