According to www.draftexpress.com is that the Blazers would trade #3 an Ruben Patterson for the #6, Kirk Synder and Gordan Girchek, then the Jazz would pick D.Williams and the Blazers would pick Bynum. That is way to high for Bynum but maybe he can do good in the pros.
The Blazers have a solid center Joel Przybilla and Theo Ratliff, plus a project in Ha Seung-Jin. I can see them dealing with the Jazz, but the Blazers would probably end up with Martell Webster at #6. He blew them away in his workouts and he's the sharp shooter the team lacks.
Keep in mind that we're talking about John Nash here, he would trade anything for anybody - he want to destroy the Blazers franchise cuz other teams are paying him to - thats the only explenation i see for Nash's trades. ANY trade with Utah that will not include AK47 will suck for the Blazers - we've got a sure thing in this 3rd pick and i don't want to trade it for some more "potential". Nash will probably end up trading Randolph, the 3rd pick,Joel Pryzbilla and Miles for Allen Huston or something like that...
^^lol, but seriously why the hell would u want gordan giricek? we'd be .500 and eventually trade him elsewhere
I think that Portland needs to keep their pick and select Gerald Green. That would give them an outstanding future with Telfair and Green developing together. I think that with each others help, they could become the great one two punch the Blazers need.
The espn draft preview just reported if they trade down to number six they will most likely take Webster. They are trying to work out a trade with the Bobcats to pick at the five. That is the scenerio they are hoping for.

So the Blazers told him to no even bother coming. If I were Portland, I would take Danny Granger over Gerald Green anyday. But I'm not the GM, so that probably won't be happening.
I remember the Bynum rumors the morning of that draft for some reason. Nash drank the Martell kool-aid and the rest is history! It'll be shocking if he's still in the League in a few years.
I can't brag about my instincts in this draft, I wanted us to take Gerald Green. But even he is way better than Martell.
