No, he's not. But, if Paul wants to keep him just to screw the pooches, I'm down with it.

It doesn't cost me a dime.

That's how I feel as well. He's not but the contract is only a four-year deal. It's not a tough pill swallow.

Now they can't go after Iggy after they waived their exp. contracts.

A win is a win is a win!

If you read that thread over there it all started when <PDX> replied to our JQ thread and mentioned that K Love was disgruntled. We have not been giving <PDX> enough grief over this.

I would think about that a little bit, i'm pretty sure the wolves could still get iggy.

And also that the Blazers were serious about matching any offer-sheet and weren't interested in any S&T.

He was also the first to take shots at Kahn for being so blatantly clueless.

It's not my cap. It's a hit on the Blazers's cap, but not crippling, imo.

There's also a value to weakening a team in our division. The pups have had to resort to underhanded shit to get anything done at all. If they followed the rules, they would have been on the sidelines for most of the FA period. But, as we all know, following the rules is not one of the pups' strong suits.

It's just that much sweeter if it provides PA with some measure of personal satisfaction.

    Go Blazers

But it keeps them from posting in the T'Wolves board as well, right? I'd love it if we had boards of other teams as active as ours. It would be great to talk about other teams from time-to-time. As for trolling, it doesn't bother me too much. I just tend to ignore it. I don't see the need for banning.

Right now? No. He has tremendous potential. Whether or not he reaches it is another matter. A market deal for him should probably be in the $6.5-$8.5MM range for 4-5 years.

Arguably the Wolves offer overpays Batum by 2-3 million. The salary cap is 58 million. Crippled? More like a stubbed toe.

If he took a "lowball" offer of 7.5-8M starting, we'd have about 10M in cap room next year. If POR matches the 4/46.5 offer, he'll start at 10.9M and POR will have about 7M in cap room next year.

Or if you want to put it another way, we're talking about the difference in cap hold between the 4th-5th pick in the draft and the 14th pick (which we'd give to CHA). I wouldn't say we'd be "crippled" if we got the #4 pick in the lotto next year.

We've only banned the ones who were posting dick pictures in the forum. Pictures of porn can get people in trouble at work.

As far as the rest of them we've started threads in both the Blazer forum and T-wolf forums welcoming them and I was even sending PM's to some of them inviting them to stay and make the Timberwolf section of S2 their own.

Yes, but only have 7 million wouldn't allow you guys to sign a difference maker though. If batum is getting 11 million what is 7 million going to get?

You don't get it. The Blazers went all in on one guy (Hibbert) failing that they decided to go into a full youth movement. Nicolas at 23 fits into that scheme and given the short contracts they've tied themselves to otherwise, it's not like they can't engineer some flexibility down the line to make lopsided trades ... the only way they'd be truly up shit creek without a paddle is if they were flirting with the tax line ... which they aren't.

Sure. I don't think it would be hard to move Wesley next year or at the trade deadline for nothing if we wanted to though, increasing our cap space.
