I wouldn't say very, very raw. He can make FTs and actually does have a jump shot.

The stats were off; I counted at least 6 assists from him and 5 blks for Leonard.

I was at that Summer League when Bayless was destroying and Lillard looks nothing similar. Lillard showed more PG skills in this game than Bayless has in his entire NBA career.

Most of the game he was talking about Leonard's effort and Lillard's feel and ability to use his shoulder and change his pace on the fly.

Needs to watch the personal fouls if he wants any chance at putting up those numbers in the regular season

Yeah it is. But points and boards are about the only stats they get right in SL. Leonard was robbed of half of his blocks.

Not true your memory is way off. It was all about Harrison Barnes, Drummond or Lilliard. I think there was a rumor that the Blazers liked Rivers at 6 for a minute but I don't remember anyone clamoring for Rivers at 6. A few people at 11 maybe.

Lillard impressed me with his clutch play in iso and with the pick and roll. Leonard really impressed me with solid picks and actual rolling. Can he start at PF instead of C?

Since Lillard was taken 6th, he pretty much played as I was hoping he would. Leonard on the other hand was very impressive. The guy is solid. Hopefully he follows up this game with a solid summer league and carries it over to training camp. I think he has the potential to be very good.

And what dumbass came up with the thought of making Rivers a PG? That guy is about as straight a SG as they come. He should be terrific in that Jason Terry role, but he is no PG.

I suppose SL is the venue to give it a shot though.

Leonard definitely needs a big man coach to develop his post game. He's athletic and a good free throw shooter though.

I agree. If anyone looks like Bayless 2.0, it's Austin Rivers..... that guy looked HORRIBLE.

Only an idiot could think Rivers will ever be an actual PG. Dude has blinders on 24/7.

They're crazy if they try to develop him as a PG.

We made that same mistake with Bayless.

Rivers is so thin though. Not like Lillard at all.

Leonard will obviously need a lot of help on offense though.

Really liked DLs character - played poorly for a while, but had enough confidence in himself to come back from it. Really, the best outcome (overcoming adversity)

ML played was really good, but not great. The exciting news, is that he should be able to play that well consistently.

So, I guess I'm a little more excited by ML because I've had confidence in DL from the beginning.

I noticed all his misses. He looked very off today...I was expecting a guy like him to be a big scorer in the summer league.

Yeah. Oden was raw. Leonard is also raw, but way more in control, even with the bad outlet passes.
