One that can easily be overcome by a billionaire loosening his purse strings. Although they probably should be included in the salary cap, coaches salaries are not. What coach would turn down an offer of $25 million per year? Doc Rivers is the highest paid current coach at $7 mil. Chump change for PA if he really wanted the best coach he could get.
Didn't he throw big money at Coach K once and he turned it down? Who would you throw big money at? Phil? Sloan? JVG? SVG?
He is one of the best pf's in the league but aside from Dirk Nowitzki, I can't think of a pf that is a #1 option.
And that's because Dirk plays like a guard... not a PF. The problem with a PF being the #1 option is that they still require someone getting them the ball in scoring position. How good would Blake Griffin be without someone to throw him lobs? How good would Aldridge be if nobody got him the ball on a PnR or on the block? It's definitely a position that requires assistance, whereas a guard can just get the ball and create for himself.
Chris bosh I think dirk is still #1, then I would probably think about bosh at #2 (he did more than any of the other guys by himself in toronto), the rest are about on a similar level. Its hard for me to choose between aldridge, love and griffin.
Bosh has taken a considerable tumble in my eyes since joining the Heat. He's nothing more than a glorified role player now. I wouldn't take Bosh over any of those five players that I listed... well.... probably over ZBO.
True, but that is his role on miami and he is the most clutch player on that team based on last years regular season. If he were on a losing team (portland and minny) like he was in toronto, he would still be the man like love or aldridge
Well, like I said, I would still probably take Love, Dirk, LMA, and MAYBE Blake Griffin over Bosh. I'd take Bosh over ZBO.
