    Wouldn't it be nice if bands today would openly do concept albums that were 100% inspired by illegal substances?

    I mean, the last I remember was Garth Brooks' attempt to be a rock star named Chris Gaines, yet he couldn't even get himself a real heroin addiction to truly sell it, and his career pretty much ended at that moment.

    The Mars Volta's first album is exactly that. Crazy stuff, about a guy in a sanitarium ODing on LSD.

    And then there's Porcupine Tree's Fear Of A Blank Planet, which is about kids doing prescription drugs and murdering people in malls.
