I'm liking the savvy, cynical Quick a lot more. He seems to have gotten new batteries for his horse-shit-o-meter.
Patrick Ewing? http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8171882/patrick-ewing-interview-portland-trail-blazers-head-coaching-job
They're interviewing everybody at this point. They weren't kidding when they said it would be exhaustive.
There are only a couple of guys I would take seriously. D'antoni is one of them. Budenholzer is intringuing and of course Sloan. But I think D'antoni would be good for Lillard, Aldridge and Batum.
@jwquick: The Blazers have made no contact with Mike D'Antoni for their coaching position, according to agent Warren LeGarie
If he's qualified in Olshey's eyes and meets the criteria he wants in a coach, then what is there to lose? Now of course I have no idea if he fits what Olshey is looking for, but I like the idea of a big man as a coach as long as he's qualified -- he'd probably help LaMarcus and Leonard out some at least.
of course if they had, Legarie, as agent to Olshey as well, would be a lot easier to ask to keep quiet than a different agent.
Chris Haynes @ChrisBHaynes Chicago Bulls assistant Adrian Griffin says he interviewed for the #Blazers head coach position yesterday. Chris Haynes @ChrisBHaynes Griffin: "#Blazers have a team that can thrive in transition. I would get LaMarcus some early post touches & I like that 3-ball too."
Chris Haynes @ChrisBHaynes Griffin: "I felt like I answered all of Neil's questions thoroughly and I feel good about what we talked about."
Chris Haynes @ChrisBHaynes Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau on Adrian Griffin: "He's an excellent teacher, communicator & someone who has paid his dues. He's ready" #Blazers
