Those guys are stuck between a rock and a hard place... so many of them asserted that the Wolves didn't have to offer Williams and that the Blazers wouldn't pass him up because he's so valuable that it's tough to know what to do with the reports. They want to call Olshey dumb for passing on the deal, but that would mean they'd admit that their GM was dumb for offering him... or that Williams isn't worth that much right now.

I'd have taken Williams plus a pair of firsts, if it were up to me, rather than pay Batum that much. Of course... we'll never know for sure if that was offered.

    *shrug*

You seem to know a lot about butthurt. I'd imagine you have learned a lot about that with your love affair with Waiters, and then us passing on him for Lillard (we didn't actually pass, but would have). :cheers:U

How does a team say a guy is untouchable and then turns around and is basically begging for someone to take him.

What's funny is if this is true, Kahn loses all bargaining positioning when he says a guy is untouchable. If it isn't true, he's spreading a rumor that makes him lose any bargaining positioning when he says a guy is untouchable.

Adelman on Batum: "He's perfect fit for our team. He can guard 1, 2, 3. He can make outside shots. It was good intent.

OJ Mayo to the Mavs. Now just need Courtney Lee to get signed before Wednesday and the self screwing of Kahn will be complete.

Lee supposedly wants to play for Adelman again, so I wouldn't be surprised if he waited until Batum was matched to sign with Minne. And with Batum obviously being matched, I can see Minne already on the phone negotiating with Lee.

I think Kahn would be worse off if he'd actually acquired Mayo.

I want Khan to pretty much end up with NOTHING after this BS shit he pulled with Batum. Sure offer a guy a contract but to spend 2 weeks trying to negotiate a S&T with no leverage when your told repeatedly it won't happen is just asinine.

He had the best draft coverage this year and *BAM* he fell out of the trust-tree in no time. He can redeem himself but he has got to stop being the mouthpiece of rival teams. If he wont do that, at least give both sides of the story.

He needs to stop the mentoring from Jaynes.

Jaynes makes Canzano look like the Michael Jordan of journalism.

How crazy is it that Quick is now by far the best guy in Portland?

Freeman just seems not to do as much. Maybe he just doesn't tweet as much. I dunno.

Agreed. Freeman seems to be a nice guy, but Quick has been great with the whole Jaynes/Haynes crap. Quick seems to break/talk about more stories than Freeman too.

Haynes has potential, he has a lot to learn though. He pushed buttons in the same way Jaynes would have.

    My rankings:

    *Jason Quick
    *John Canzano
    *Eggers
*Haynes (he has to stop taking advice from Dwight)
