Jason Quick @jwquick San Antonio assistant Mike Budenholzer said he has not been contacted by the Blazers for their head coaching position
You can see that this guy is an assistant but not a head-coach. If he had any cred he would have said that after consideration he decided to decline the opportunity. We want people that decline the opportunity, not ones that were not approached!
Isn't a center supposed to be the air traffic controller on the court? I'd think he's the second most qualified behind the PG.
Good in terms of not having them play defense? Of good because Lillard is the next Nash, and a wide open system with PnRs in the half-court set would outweigh the lack of defense. D'antoni never even made an NBA Finals, and he had a two-time MVP and another All-NBA player on his roster.
Hopefully, the next coach will only be here 2-3 seasons. Teach the youngsters and get the team from "awful" to "mediocre"...then cut them loose. Let's not repeat the "Nate mistake."
Just a "Quick" LOL at who he thinks we haven't heard of... http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...zers_insider_jason_quick_on_phil_jackson.html
Chris Haynes @ChrisBHaynes Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw will interview with #Blazers GM Neil Olshey tonight for their vacant head coach position.
Hopefully after tonight Olshey is close to being done ... I know he's already got a relationship with Lillard too.
Someone sell me on Shaw since everyone seems to think he's the guy, and it's not looking likely D'Antoni is the guy (booo)
Everything I know about the guy is anecdotal or hearsay ... but it's all been positive. That's all I can go off of.
Not so fast Joe Freeman @BlazerFreeman Olshey said potential coaching candidates are unavailable to interview b/c they are overseas or participating in Basketball Without Borders.
