Pinwheel Empire @pinwheelempire Ronnie Price is basically a raw athletic player who has never fully developed. #ripcity #blazers So he's like a middle school girl running track?
I already penciled him as our 12 million dollar man. And we still need one player to come through. I think I know what to expect from Lillard. LA, Nic, and whoever our center is. (Not counting on much either way) But IMO the SG is the wild card. There is a possibility that EW or Wes could surpass our expectations. But I would not bet too much on it. But if EW came out and exploded as a scorer......then all bets are off.
Pinwheel Empire @pinwheelempire Ronnie Price was among the worst PGs last season, ranking 323rd in PER, just behind Steve Blake but ahead of Fisher. #ripcity #blazers
If LMA plays at all star level, Nic plays at near all star level, and Lillard just keeps improving, we'll be a playoff team.
+1, just enjoy watching some fun basketball and the guys grow together. I think we're going to lose a lot next year but the effort will be there a la the 24 win year.
Nah, a torn labrum ... that's not career threatening, but it is a long rehab (for perspective remember how long it took Nicolas after his shoulder surgery? Same kind of thing, but now we're talking about a weight bearing joint. That is not a veteran laden team. Look at all those damn rookies and second or third year guys ... not to even mention the guys that just flat suck.
I hope Ronnie can keep on doing moves or plays like this. He's #17 in the video.
Once a game maybe? Otherwise I sure hope we don't see much of him, because if we do it just means Lillard can't hack it.
On the one hand:*yawn* On the other hand: wow. Why "wow"? Price is not good. He's a backup on a bad team-/not in the NBA-level player. He's a piss-poor perimeter shooter. Nice guy? Maybe. Veteran leader? I guess he could be. But he's not going to be much help on the floor, and it's a "wow" situation for me because I see this as the team acknowledging that we aren't going to win much this season. Is that a bad thing to admit/resign ourselves to? Maybe. Maybe not. But it's interesting because I think it cements we're going to see a lot of losing this year, which might not have been the case if we'd acquired a PG that could help us win this year with our remaining cap space. Ed O.
There aren't very many free agent PGs who will come at a cheap price at this time.. I'm fine with this move to add depth there in emergency situations. Price is a fringe NBA player and 13th-15th man at best.
