I say nay to both. While Phil would undoubtedly bring a cachet to the organization, it would also diminish Olshay. No bueno. And Brian Shaw would certainly want to run the Triangle, and we just drafted a PG built to run.

    No to both.

Triangle offense doesnt keep you from running. You always go for the easy buckets if theyre there. When theyre not, and if u have the right players, the triangle is a strong offense to run in the half-court.

Yes, if they come as a package. I'm not interested in Shaw as the head coach. But I could be if Phil was here.

Didn't even think of Shaw trying to run the triangle

Yes to both as a package. Synergy is a nasty buzzword but could be leveraged in our favor.

In fact Lillard, Aldridge, and Batum would be perfect for it.

Exactly. The triangle de-emphasizes the center, too, and rewards spot-up guys like Babbitt and Matthews.

Yeah, why bring a guy with a winning track record here, let's bring in D'Antoni who has won everywhere he's been, said no Suns fan ever.

And to answer your question, absolutely. Do what you have to to add Jackson. Adding a brilliant basketball mind to the organization cannot be bad. I dont believe he would ever endanger team chemistry. His philosophy alone is against self-serving actions. As coach, he preached to his players that every single action on the court must be in tune with all others to succeed. I see no reason why he wouldnt practice this with a management role.

Right. Babbitt would benefit greatly. From dud to stud.

Paul Allen, Phil Jackson and Neil Olshey? Anyone see a problem here? Hello?

No, I don't ever see this happening. Jackson more than likely is using us to get to his old team and trying to drive up the price on a new contract.

So playing on a team that won it all means nothing. Being a part of the coaching staff of a championship team doesnt either. I disagree.

If anyone can get a slightly weirdo nerdy owner to believe in something, it would be Phil Jackson.

And god forbid the team try something like this.

Because you could say the same thing about EVERY person they bring in for the Presidents job or the coaching job.

    watch:

    Allen/Jerry West/Olshey

    See any problems!?

How many coaches are there, who are unemployed, who have won NBA titles as a coach? Not sure you're really making a good point here.

Because I would just counter with what as Paul Allen won as owner? or Olshey won?
