    No way BB.

Do you remember who was on the original Dream Team? It was a fuckin HOF team.

    Jordan
    Barkley
    Bird
    Magic
    Stockton
    David Robinson
    Patrick Ewing
    Scottie Pippen
    Clyde
    Chris Mullin

They would dominate, especially in FIBA ball because Durant, LeBron, and CP3 are used to getting superstar calls in the NBA.

Yeah, the beating the Original Dream Team comment was lame. But that was a different topic. This was about winning the gold.

(My opinion is that the Original Dream Team would handily beat the current squad)

    Jordan > LeBron
    Barkley > Kevin Love
    Bird > Durant
    Magic > Deron Williams
    Stockton > CP3
    David Robinson > Tyson Chandler
    Patrick Ewing > Anthony Davis
    Scottie Pippen > Iggy
Clyde = Kobe (current Kobe compared to young Clyde)
    Chris Mullin = Melo

Yeah, they should. But putting that much pressure can often backfire. You can't motivate employees by saying "if we don't beat these numbers, you'll all be fired". not the sign of great leadership.

Most of them were in their prime. Jordan, Barkley, Clyde, Stockton, Ewing, Robinson, Pippen... the only guys who were getting up there in age were Bird and Magic, and they were still great players at that time. It was only 1992.

    A starting lineup of

    Jordan
    Stockton
    Pippen
    Barkley
    Robinson would CRUSH

    LeBron
    Durant
    CP3
    Kevin Love
    Tyson Chandler

Meh. I don't think it is valid to compare professionals, who are supposed to be the most dominate in the game with the mental toughness to match, to some pee-on employees on the factory floor. If his teammates can't handle those comments, they shouldn't be on what is supposed to be the best team in the world.

Those douchebags are already cheering for another team. Olympic soccer is a joke. Its a U23 tournaments with 3 roster exceptions. David Stern is trying to do this same thing witht he Mens Bball Olympic team. Make it U23 and the start a "World Cup of Basketball" tournament for the senior circuit, so that NBA owners and the NBA can make money off of it.

When it comes to INTERNATIONAL competition, I see no way possible to support any country outer than YOUR country. Its one thing to respect other countries teams and their talents, but to support them like they are your country... shameful. I think there is a lot of pride lost in the country, which is sad.

To the crowd that is from/ has roots in another country and uses that as an excuse to support them, yet are US Citizens, disgusting. If your homeland is so great, please do us all a favor and move back. There is a reason you are living in the states and not there. Show some respect to the country that has given you and so many other such great opportunities.

This is something I feel strongly about, sorry if it comes of douchy or elitist.

ok fine, say a team of managers is having a meeting then. the director tells them "ok guys, we need to sell "X" or you're all going to be fired".

    again, its terrible leadership.

you don't motivate people through the use of humiliation or penalty. show me any scenario or example where this is considered being a good method or commendable leadership. its strange and weird and often doesn't work.

This isn't your local MacDonalds. If his teammates can't handle those comments, they shouldn't be at this level of basketball.

I'm talking about anywhere at any level. Threats of humiliation and disgrace as a motivational tool? Yeah. not good leadership. ESPECIALLY at this level. It should be understood what the goal is, no need to do this.

Meh. If I'm on a competitive team and my teammate says this, I wouldn't go pout and cry. It's a grown man's sport.
