Did we actually get something out of this deal? I'm still unclear on what happened exactly. I get that there was a three-way trade and that we were involved.... that's about all that I know.
The only thing I've read is that Blazers possibly take in Pavlovic in the deal. http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-am-courteny-lee-gets-his-deal
Well I guess this is why it pays to remain flexible as a team. With all of the youth they just infused into the team, there's no chance all of those guys are going to be able to develop, so depending on what happens here in this potential deal (and in the future) I think it's safe to say there are more moves to be made. The fact that it's coinciding with a chance to stick it to Kahn is just icing on the cake.
I imagine it's much more about the 2nd and screwing Minn. If he's paid the minimum, you pay a bit over a million for a 2nd, not bad.
He started with Utah, not sure how they lost him after a year but he ended up in Cleveland and had some good years. Started 20 games one year in the playoffs. Then 45 games the next year in the reg season. Then he went to Minny and kind of disappeared after that ........... At one time he was a solid player. Both on offense and defense. But that was a few years ago. I doubt he is the same player. He is still under 30 though.
Looking at his stats, his shooting %s are all over the map, ranging from over 40% to under 30. And the article mentions Sean Williams. I thought we bought him out? Did we trade him?
No, that was Shawne Williams born in February, this one from Boston is Sean Williams born in September.
John Hollinger @johnhollinger Hearing C Lee deal is more like 4.6M to start. Celtics paying Pavlovic's salary for Blazers and threw Portland a 2nd.
