I think that the Blazers should buy patches on the Timberwolves' jerseys.

I follow many sports so I'm used to this.

I honestly don't even notice it.

I'm hearing it's only a 2X2 inch patch on the shoulder...... nothing like the WNBA or MLS.

But will it clash with the team colors?

It happens in soccer due to the fact that there are no commercials. Every team has a crest (LOGO) on the chest over the heart. Some teams, like FC Dallas I believe, do put their team name where the Ads usually are.

The fact that PA still hasn't sold the naming rights to the RG is telling. I don't think he'll just sell off the ad space to just anybody.

It'd be great if the advertisements could be used as incentives or punishments. When Pau Gasol's play has drops off, just sew a Summer's Eve patch on his jersey and see how long it takes until he gets out of his funk.

Really though, I've always thought that teams should stay relatively consistent with their jerseys. It takes some of the pride out of being a fan when your team changes its jersey every two or three years. Maybe this will curtail the throwbacks, Latin jerseys, etc.

Would you rather have a patch on your jersey or watch your team whip these jerseys out every time they're on national tv?
