" It didn't take long for the Giants to find their motivation for another championship run. That happened in May, in a private room at Tiffany & Co. in Manhattan, just after they got their Super Bowl XLVI championship rings.

That's when Justin Tuck insisted his second ring only made him "that much hungrier" for another. That's the first time he used the D-word that figures to carry the Giants all year long.

"You get there the first time and you're in awe," Tuck said. "You win the second one and you're like, 'Hey, Maybe we can do something here.'

"Our thing now is we want to be a dynasty. We want to make it a dynasty."

The door for the Giants to be that "dynasty" and the dominant team of this era is wide open and they'll begin their quest to charge through it on Thursday when they report to training camp at the University at Albany. The defending champions are almost completely intact from last season, missing only Super Bowl hero Mario Manningham, Brandon Jacobs and a few other pieces and parts.

Amazingly, 21 of 22 projected starters spent significant time in the starting lineup last season. The only new addition, cornerback Terrell Thomas, who steps in for the departed Aaron Ross, was a starter the year before. Now they just have to spend the summer figuring out whether this group resembles the team that went 9-7 in the regular season or the one that rolled through the playoffs and beat the Patriots in the title game for the second time in five years."
