Kyle Lowry, Jose Calderon, John Lucas III
    DeMar DeRozan, Alan Anderson
Landry Fields, Terrence Ross, Linas Kleiza
Andrea Bargnani, Ed Davis, Quincy Acy
Jonas Valanciunas, Amir Johnson, Aaron Gray

The Raptors are expected to explore trade options for Jose Calderon who, thus far, hasn't drawn much interest due to his $10.5-million salary owed this season (the final year of his contract). The 31-year old could be moved closer to the trade deadline once some teams have given up hope for the playoffs and look to dump salary.

The Raps have opted not to keep free agents Jared Bayless and Sonny Weems, and withdrew their team option for centre Solomon Alabi.

Probably won't see JoVa starting right away.

I wonder if we'll trade Ed Davis, I am pretty sure he has developed as well as BC has liked but he's stilll young

I figured he would be moved this summer but since that hasn't happened I think we'll keep him for the season and see if he can make enough progress to show he can start if Bargs is moved. Lowry + Fields could help make up for his scoring difference.

I'm hoping Ross can start of Landry, I feel he has more skill set and will shine about 10-15 game in to the season. I do like our Line-up though.

JoVo will start for sure, he's our number one option at C.

Val will come of the bench for the first few months. Rookie bigs tend have foul problems and he will likely also have strength issues. Gray is actually a good signing for this reason alone as he gives time for Jonas to develop.

I feel Casey will do the same for Ross intially and will favour starting Fields over him.

Our 4/5 rotation does seem crowded, and since i don't think Bargs is ever going anywhere (for better or worse), I think that Ed Davis seems to be the odd man out. I wouldn't be surprised if Calderon and Ed are packaged closer to the deadline or in the next offseason.

That being said, I also like this line up. Lots of defense and athleticism. Lowry's defense will actually make Bargs look a little better because he won't have to cover for all the people that drove past Calderon. And Calderon has always been a fantastic backup and he will continue to look good with Amir and Jonas in the pick and roll of the bench. I think we can compete for 7-8th spot and if we miss out on the playoffs by a small margin, then we give up a 10-14 pick to Houston. Not a bad deal.
