    Taking photos at the Pride Parade with my trusty Nikon F and a young woman says to me, "I've never seen a camera that clicks before". (The click, of course, is the sound of the manual shutter on a 35-mm camera opening and closing).

    Sigh.

    I think that young lady was lying you! There are plenty of smart phones that make that sound when they take a picture. Sure it's just a sound bite in the software, but that still counts!

    Especially if you watched when the series began, not just its last years...most people didn't have TVs...Tom Terrific was still better than most cartoons...

    I was on The Captain Kangeroo Show for my 5th birthday.

    My mother babysat Dr Zoom's kids.

    My 2 boys were on the Ramblin Rod show when they were 5 and 6.

    You know you're old when you're talking to a co-worker, describing how much fun it was while on long car trips as a kid, to rewind tapes to listen to the song again...and in the middle of that you remember that when you were REALLY young, your parents couldn't even afford a tape player in their car and you had to use a stereo tape player with batteries.

    My first ever car had only an AM radio. There was one rock station but it carried Blazer games. So I started listening to games on the radio....
