Mississippi State's Craig Sword was arrested and charged Sunday with misdemeanor possession of a firearm, a team spokesman told the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion Ledger. Campus police arrested the freshman guard after he carried a BB gun into his dorm room, the school said in a statement, according to the Clarion Ledger. "I am aware of the situation involving Craig bringing a BB gun into the dorm, which is a misdemeanor," MSU coach Rick Ray said in the statement. "Craig did not point it at anyone or toward anyone. Craig realizes the severity of his actions, is extremely remorseful and fully understands that he must be held accountable.
