He had his surgery in January, right? Given the 13-month recovery time, he wouldn't be ready to play until around February or so... then he'd be tentative and slow until probably mid-season 2013-14.
Your opinion wouldn't be taken seriously anyway....... But feel free to wait to answer. Take all the time you need for such a tough question.
first number I guessed when looking at that schedule. Some tough teams to start the year, and a LOT of road games after that
Not saying it's going to happen, but I view 14 of those games as very winnable. A lot of these opponents are in the same position or worse that we are. vs LA Lakers - W @ OKC - L @ Houston - W @ Dallas - L vs LA Clippers - W vs San Antonio - L vs Atlanta - W @ Sacramento - W vs Houston - W vs Chicago - W @ Phoenix - W vs Minnesota - W @ Brooklyn - L @ Detroit - W @ Washington - W @ Boston - L @ Cleveland - W @ Charlotte - W @ Indiana - L vs Sacramento - W

A young team, lots of new players, and a new coach equals a slow start. With 12 of the first 20 being on the road, I see that as 12 losses. Sure we will win a couple on the road but we will also lose a couple at home. I would actually be ok with 8-12 since my gut says we will return from the long road trip at 4-15.
I'm banking on a little Linsanity-esque out-of-the-blue who-the-fuck-is-this-Lillard-guy performance when I predict 11-9 to start the season. Teams are going to be going into games against the Blazers expecting the LMA/McMillan grinder that they've known for pretty much their entire careers, and leave wondering, "Where the fuck is Weber State?" They'll adjust, but by then we will hopefully have pulled off some upsets on the road and dominate at home.
11-9. We'll be below .500 to start the season then get above it for a few days, finish 18 games 9-9 then win the last two games of the 20 at Indiana and Vs Sacramento.
